Energy is a set of large natural and artificial subsystems that serve to transform, distribute and use energy resources of all kinds in a field of human economic activity. The purpose is to ensure the production of energy by converting primary, natural energy into electrical or thermal energy.
During independence of Uzbekistan all attention put to the improvement of the energy industry in the country and as it resulted of the development of the industry and need for energy also increased significantly correspond to Renewable Energy plays a special role in the development of the industry.
Considering the high demand for specialists in the industry not only in our country, but also around the world, in 2018, “Renewable Energy” bachelor degree was opened at Kimyo International University in Tashkent in “Energy and Applied Sciences” department. Currently, the Department of "Energy and Applied Sciences" is also include the direction of "Electrical Engineering"
“Energy and Applied Sciences” department involves variety of teachers in the field of Energy, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation, Programming and conduct specialized courses in such technical areas as "Renewable Energy", "Electrical Engineering", "Mechanical Engineering", "Mechatronics Systems Engineering", "Lift Engineering" , "Information Systems Engineering".
The department has close ties with public and private enterprises operating in the field of Energy, Alternative Energy, Electrical Engineering, Elevator Engineering, etc. There are branches of the department in LLC "TEXNOPARK", LLC "TOSHAFUS", the Physical-Technical Institute of NPO "Physics-Sun" of the Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan, where practical and laboratory classes are organized for students of technical fields.

Since 2020, head of “Energy and Applied Sciences” department at Kimyo International University in Tashkent. Main research areas – CAD/CAE/CAM systems; Electrical Engineering and Electrical Machines; Automotive Engineering. Kamaliddin Abdivakhidov, a master graduate of Automotive Engineering in Tashkent Automotive and Road institute. He deepened his academic knowledge and experience as a researcher at Turin polytechnic university in Tashkent and Politecnico di Torino (Italy). He managed and successfully accomplished several innovative projects for education and industry in Uzbekistan focused on Mechanical Engineering and Renewable Energy. He also participated in various projects of Siemens PLM, Dassault Systemes, Hexagon MI.
Since May 2019, Vice-Rector of Kimyo International University in Tashkent. Regularly participates in international and national educational seminars. He completed internships and advanced training courses at leading universities and enterprises in Germany, such as FESTO-Didactics (2010-2012), Siemens (2011), IDEAL PLM Systems (2013). Danfoss Power Solutions (2014-2016), Digital Manufacturing & Design Technology (2020), Kaizen Mentor Training Program (2022) He holds a Doctor of Philosophy Technical Sciences (PhD) degree. Author of 35 scientific papers. Has 2 patents for invention. Managed 12 state, scientific and innovation projects. Founded the "Mechatronics" school.
Doctor of Technical Sciences. Scientific activity - Materials science, technology of composite and nanomaterials based on heterocomposite materials. Member of the attestation commission for PhD dissertations of Srinagar National Institute of Technology (Srinagar, India) and Karabük University (Karabük, Turkey). Member of the expert group of the Education Quality Control Inspection under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan and a member of the Scientific and Technical Council of the Ministry of Innovation and Development.
Doctor of Technical Sciences Hidirova M.B. has 27 years of experience in scientific and pedagogical work. Conducts lectures and practical classes in the speciality "Modelling and Simulation of Mechatronic System". Hidirova M.B. is a member of the Academic Council, actively participates in the attestation process as a member of a scientific seminar on the speciality 05.01.07 - Mathematical modelling. Numerical methods and software complexes and she is a member of the editorial board of the Central Asian Academic Journal of Scientific Research. Hidirova M.B. published more than 200 works, including 2 monographs, and 1 study guide.
Doctor of Technical Sciences. Senior lecturer at Kimyo International University in Tashkent since August 2022. In 2019 he received his PhD degree at Tsinghua University, Beijing, in the field of Mechanical Engineering and engaged in Guangxi Liugong Machinery Company as a Senior Project Engineer. His research interests mainly include Mechanical Engineering, Tribology, Fluid Mechanical, and New Materials Technology for superlubricitive engineering. He published 7 SCI/EI papers in many renowned journals.
Platoshina M.M. has 3 years of experience in scientific and pedagogical work. Conducts lectures and practical classes for Bachelor students in the disciplines Introduction to Mechanical Engineering and Material Science. Platoshina M.M. is an independent researcher for a doctoral degree (PhD) in the speciality 05.02.01 - "Material Science in Mechanical Engineering. Foundry. Heat treatment and pressure treatment of metals. Metallurgy of Ferrous, Non-Ferrous and Rare Metals" of the Joint Belarusian-Uzbek Intersectoral Institute of Applied Technical Qualifications in Tashkent and is working on a dissertation on the topic “Development of Technology for Hardening Hot Stamping Tools”. Platoshina M.M. published 20 scientific papers, including 4 guidelines.
Muhammad Maftun has 12 years of experience in scientific and pedagogical work, he has been teaching at Kimyo International University in Tashkent since 2019. He is an independent researcher for a doctoral degree (PhD). He received his master's degree from the National Research University "Tashkent Institute of Irrigation and Agricultural Mechanization Engineers". The main areas of interest are hydraulics and digitalization of agricultural machinery. Machine learning, mechatronics and autonomous systems are also of interest. Muhammad Maftun has published more than 5 scientific articles.
Since 2019, senior lecturer at Kimyo International University in Tashkent, Department of Energy and Applied Sciences. Has 13 years of scientific and pedagogical work. Conducts lectures and practical classes for bachelors in the disciplines: Physics, Electrical Engineering and Power Supply, 4 times organized professional skill competitions. Received a master's degree from the Tashkent State Technical University named after Islam Karimov. He is the author of twenty-four scientific articles, of which 2 are guidelines.
Madumar Musurmonov is an independent researcher for a doctoral degree (PhD) in the speciality-“ Assessment of Hydraulics and Controller Area Network (CAN) of Agricultural Machinery based on Machine learning”. Since 2021 Senior lecturer at Kimyo International University in Tashkent. He received his Master’s degree from Turin Polytechnic University, Turin, Italy. He published 3 scientific articles.
Manager of Energy and Applied Sciences at Kimyo International University in Tashkent (KIUT) since February 2023. The main area of interest is renewable energy, namely geothermal
