International Experts Discuss Higher Education Quality Assurance at Kimyo International University in Tashkent
Kimyo International University in Tashkent hosted an international workshop within the Erasmus+ CBHE QUARTZ project dedicated to strengthening quality assurance systems and institutional transformation in higher education.
The event, held on May 14, 2026, brought together leading experts, policymakers, university representatives, and international partners from Uzbekistan and Europe to exchange experience and discuss practical approaches to implementing modern QA strategies in higher education institutions.
The workshop focused on transitioning “from strategy to practice” through effective quality assurance mechanisms, institutional monitoring, teaching quality evaluation, information management systems, and international QA standards.
Opening remarks were delivered by Prof. Akmal Allakuliev, Rector of Kimyo International University in Tashkent, alongside representatives of the National Quality Assurance Agency for Education, the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation of Uzbekistan, the Erasmus+ National Office, and international partner universities.
International speakers included Prof. Anna Tozzi from the University of L’Aquila (Italy) and Vanina Valcheva, Vice-President of Varna University of Management (Bulgaria), who shared European perspectives and best practices in higher education quality assurance and institutional development.
The workshop served as an important international platform for dialogue, collaboration, and knowledge exchange aimed at supporting sustainable reforms and enhancing the quality culture in higher education institutions across Uzbekistan.
The event concluded with certificate presentations and networking sessions among participants and international partners.
