A memorandum of cooperation was signed between the American international franchise company in Uzbekistan, Marriott International Hotel. From now on talented students of the «Tourism» department of the Yeoju Technical Institute in Tashkent will have the opportunity to work together with experienced specialists of the hotel. Today the rector of YTIT Janpolat Kudaybergenov and the general manager of the Marriott International Tashkent Alexander Bakanov have decided on plans for cooperation. During the conversation Alexander Bakanov said that he intended to implement his successful experience in Uzbekistan which he had gained at the Hilton Garden Inn hotel in Moscow. According to it, the main goal would be to create a study space for students at the hotel and introduce a system of credit modules for internship. So, the internship period is divided into three stages:
1. Restaurant - 3 months internship
2. Housekeeping - 3 months internship
3. Front office - 3 months internship
As a result, even during the internship period, a student will be able to determine for himself in which direction of the hotel’s activities he can fulfil his potential. Finally, and most importantly, during the internship, he can be fully in command of the hotel business system. As Mr.  Bakanov said, skills of working with Opera PMS program is essential for students specializing in tourism in order to be further employed.
It was noted that despite the pandemic, the need for qualified personnel is constantly growing due to the fact that tourism is one of the most sustainable sectors of the economy.
At the end of the meeting, it was decided that in the near future, the students of the institute would be invited for the internship at the hotel.
