About Information Resource Center
The mission of the Information Resource Center of Kimyo International University in Tashkent is to
assist in increasing the scientific potential of students by providing them with scientific
literature that meets international standards and advanced scientific and educational information
resources to help them become highly qualified specialists in their field.
The center operates on two floors located in the main building.
Today, there are 2 reading rooms for 300 seats for users of the Information Resource Center: a hall
for universal literature and a hall for group studies. The book fund of the IRC is provided for
readers in open access for all specialties. In the hall of the universal literature there are 32
computers for using electronic resources and the Internet.
The general fund of the IRC is 25504 copies, of which: educational and
educational literature is 17330 copies, scientific literature is 181 copies, additional literature
is 1537 copies, the fund of periodicals is 6256 copies.
IRC employees are always happy to help users with finding the necessary
information.
Our team
Rules of Use
The Information Resource Center provides open access to the information and library fund to all
students, teaching staff, administrative and technical staff of the university.
The mode of operation is determined depending on the schedule of classes and the order of the
university management.
All services provided by the Center are free.
Users have the following rights:
- admission to the Information Resource Center and access to information resources;
- acquisition for temporary use of information and library resources during the educational
process for a week with the right to a subsequent extension;
- free choice of information according to their needs;
- obtaining information about the availability of the requested information and library
resources.
- users may also have other rights in accordance with the law.
Responsibilities of users of the Information Resource Center:
- careful usage of the property of the Information Resource Center;
- mandatory registration of the resource in student’s name for temporary use at the university or
at home;
- mandatory registration of the resource in student’s name for temporary use at the university or
at home;
- not bringing or eating food in the Center;
- users should be careful with resources and other materials from the Information Resource
Center;
- being polite with employees and users of the Center;
- following the rules for the usage of office equipment in the Information Resource Center;
- finishing the working with computers in the training hall 15 minutes before the closing of the
Center;
- when the user receives books and resources, he/she examines them and informs the staff of the
Information Resource Center of any defects;
- not to take actions that damage the resources of the Center (tearing out pages, marking,
painting over drawings and maps, inscriptions on the pages of books, etc.);
- users who have lost or provided irreparable damage to documents and materials from the
Information Resource Center can replace them with the same or equivalent documents and materials
(including copies) that were recognized by the Center's employees, if it is impossible to
replace them, they must pay for the resource several times its value. The multiple cost is
determined by the specialists of the Information Resource Center or involved specialists based
on the cost of the lost or damaged document and in accordance with applicable regulatory
documents;
- not to take actions aimed at reducing the quality of the activities of the Information Resource
Center;
- it is forbidden to organize various events and trainings in the training hall of the Center
without the permission of the IRC administration;
- users of the IRC may be deprived of their right to use the IRC for a period specified by the
administration of the IRC for violating the rules for accessing the IRC.
