History department

To prepare future specialists on history. To teach students the subjects that are focused on learning and analyzing the significant events of history of Uzbekistan and the world both scientifically and theoretically, also, to form theoretical and methodic knowledge, skills and professional competence.

Following objectives are planned to be completed in order to increase the efficiency of teaching History and to raise the scientific standards of the students:

  • to create enough teaching-methodic base so that students could get high-quality knowledge on the specialization they chose;
  • to define micro-history plots and macro-history periods and to form methodic recommendations;
  • history-makers: to teach how to observe the fates of both remarkable and ordinary people;
  • to prepare lecture texts based on the comparisons of ancient and new age maps;
  • to teach how to feel historical sources;
  • digital history: to create history with the assistance of Big date, GIS, AR and VR, artificial intelligence technologies;
  • to cooperate closely with innovative and creative historians;
  • to pay close attention on how the educational professions are being mastered by the students and to gradually realize projects in this sphere;
  • to organise seminars, trainings and interactive lesson types by professor-teachers on constant basis in order to increase the efficiency of education.

Purpose of the program
The main goals of the academic direction are as follows: to create a sufficient educational and methodological base for students to receive a quality education in their chosen direction, to clarify micro historical and macro historical periods, to develop methodological recommendations, prepare texts of lectures on comparing ancient and modern maps, cooperation with innovators and creative historians, paying special attention to students in the field of education, systematic work in this direction.

Result
Graduates of the Academic direction "History" will be able to work in private, state and international educational institutions, educational management bodies, scientific and educational research institutes, museums and archives, non-governmental and non-commercial organizations, in particular, political parties.

Akbar Zamonov Turginovich

Doctor of historical sciences (2024), professor (2023). A.T. Zamonov was awarded with the “Excellent Teacher of Public Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan” badge of the Ministry of Public Education. Expert of “History of Uzbekistan” specialty. He conducts researches regarding the history of medieval statehood of Uzbekistan. He has been working as the head of “History” department of Kimyo International University in Tashkent since August 16, 2022. A.T. Zamonov has published 7 monographs, 10 pamphlets, more than 100 scientific, scientific-methodical works, more than 50 scientific articles and theses, as well as 40 articles of educational-methodological nature, theses and methodological recommendations up to this day. Furthermore, he is the co-author of more than 5 textbooks for general secondary educational institutions and the author of 7 textbooks, 30 educational and educational-methodological manuals for higher educational institutions.

Ulugbek Khalmuminov

Research interests: Archaeology of Central Asia, History of Governance in the Early Medieval Period, Preservation of Cultural Heritage Sites, History of Sacred Places and Pilgrimage Sites. Scientific branch: History of Uzbekistan (07.00.01) Biography Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Historical Sciences (2022). Associate Professor (2025). Since August 16, 2022, he has been working as an associate professor in the Department of History at Kimyo International University in Tashkent. Historian and archaeologist by profession, Ulugbek Khalmuminov is the author of 1 monograph (co-authored), 2 textbooks for students of higher educational institutions and more than 30 scientific articles. At the university, he teaches the following subjects: archeology, historical geography, history of Islamic civilization. His scientific research is mainly devoted to the history and archeology of the early Middle Ages. In August 2024, he improved his qualifications at Merito University in Warsaw, Poland. .

Doctor of Philosophy in Historical Sciences (2022). Since August 22, 2023, he has been working as an associate professor in the Department of History at Tashkent International Kimyo University. His specialty is historian, ethnologist and anthropologist. To date, Nabizhon Narziev is the author of 3 monographs (in co-authorship), 1 textbook and 1 teaching aid for university students, 2 methodological manuals and more than 30 scientific articles. The university mainly teaches the following subjects: ethnology, historical local history, history of Islamic civilization, historical toponymy and historical anthropology. The main areas of his scientific research are ethnolinguistics, etiquette culture and anthropology of the Uzbeks. In August 2024, he completed an advanced training course at Merito University in Warsaw, Poland.

Akmal Ismoilov

From August, 2022 has been working as a teacher at Kimyo International University in Tashkent, Histоry department; conducts classes in World history. А.I.Ismoilov has already written more than 4 scientific articles. Ismoilov Akmal Islomovich works on promoting the science of History among young people and he has been regularly participating in spiritual educational events as part of his activities to raise a generation worthy of our ancestors. For instance since 2022 his students are actively participating in the eureca training programs conducted on Uzbekistan TV channel. At the University he organised Russian language club for History students.

Shodiya Saydalieva

Senior Lecturer

Since 2022, Saidalieva has been a senior lecturer of the Social and Humanitarian Sciences department at Kimyo International University in Tashkent. She has more than 10 years of teaching experience. Her research interests include mainly political science and history. She is the author of more than 10 scientific articles, as well as the co-author of one educational manual on the History of Uzbekistan.

Research interests: political, socio-economic, and ethnocultural processes in the early Middle Ages; Turkic-Sogdian relations; the history of writing culture in the region; and issues of religions and religious tolerance. Scientific branch: History of Uzbekistan (07.00.01) Biography He has been working at the Kimyo International University in Tashkent since 2024. He holds the position of Acting Professor at the Department of History. He began his career from 1987 to 1989 as an employee of the "Ohangaron" newspaper in the Akhangaran district of the Tashkent region. From 1989 to 1998, he worked as a junior researcher at the Kh. Sulaymonov Institute of Manuscripts of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan. From 1998 to September 2022, he worked at the Institute of History of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan, serving as the head of the “Ancient Statehood” sector, doctoral student, senior researcher, head of the "Department of Ancient and Medieval History," as well as in leading and chief researcher positions. From 2000 to 2003, he worked as an associate professor at the Nizami Tashkent State Pedagogical University.

Research interests: The history of prominent figures, the history of medieval flora and fauna of Central Asia, the historical geography of Uzbekistan in antiquity and the early Middle Ages, the colonial policy of the Russian Empire. Scientific branch: History of Uzbekistan (07.00.01) Biography Since 2024, started working at Kimyo international university in Tashkent. He holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Historical Sciences (2022), a Bachelor's degree in History (2008), and a Master's degree in Historiography, Source Studies, and Methods of Historical Research (2012) from the Mirzo Ulugbek National University of Uzbekistan. He is the author of several collective monographs and scientific articles. In May 2022, he completed advanced training at the Regional Center for Retraining and Advanced Training of Teachers at the Mirzo Ulugbek National University of Uzbekistan, and in October 2022, at the Kazakh National University in Almaty, Kazakhstan. He has participated in approximately 20 broadcasts on the TV channels of the Television and Radio Company of Uzbekistan, presenting various scientific news items and open lessons.

Research interests: Historical sources in Arabic, Urban planning and city life in Central Asian in the 9th – 13th centuries, Ethnic situation in Central Asia in the 9th – 12th centuries, historical documents. Scientific branch: Uzbekistan history, oriental history, Arabic. Biography Since 2024, he has been working at the Department of History of Kimyo International University in Tashkent as a docent. In 2011 Khusniddin Mamadaliev defended his dissertation for candidate of historical sciences. He is the author of monograph, collective works and scientific articles. He began his career as an assistant teacher at Namangan state engineering – economic institute in 1998 – 2004. In 2005-2007 He enrolled in the Institute of History of Uzbekistan Academy of Sciences as PhD student. Since 2008 he continued his career as junior researcher of the Institute of History of Uzbekistan Academy of Sciences. In 2011 he became a senior research fellow at the Institute History of Uzbekistan Academy of Sciences and worked in this institute until September of 2024. He involved in research projects carried out at the Institute of History and dedicated to the history of Central Asia in the 9th – 13th centuries. He took part as a Research Fellow at the START Project Seeing like an Archive: Documents and Forms of Governance in Central Asia (18-19th Centuries), funded by FWF Der Wissenschaftsfonds hosted by the Austrian Academy of Sciences (2014 - 2016). Also, he has presented papers at international conferences, congresses and symposia in foreign countries (Turkiye, Philippines, Kyrgyzstan and USA). More than 10 scientific articles have been published in various publications in a number of foreign countries.

Muhiddinjon Primov

Research interests: History of cartography of Uzbekistan Scientific branch: History of Uzbekistan (07.00.01) and History of science and technology (07.00.02) Biography Since 2024, he has been working at the Kimyo International University in Tashkent. He holds a PhD in Historical Sciences and is an Associate Professor. He began his career as a lecturer at the "History of Uzbekistan" Department of the National University of Uzbekistan. He worked as a junior researcher at the Tashkent Museum, a branch of the State Museum of History of Uzbekistan, and as an acting associate professor at the Faculty of History of Perfect University. In 2018, he underwent training at the Institute of Labour Research and Development located in Delhi, India, and in 2023, he completed an advanced training course at the Regional Center for Retraining and Advanced Training of Teachers at the Mirzo Ulugbek National University of Uzbekistan. M.O.Primov is the author of the monograph “History of Cartography in the Uzbekistan SSR: state, stages, and problems” and the textbook “History of Personalities”, as well as more than 30 scientific articles and abstracts. He has participated in about 10 programs on the TV channels of the Uzbekistan Broadcasting Company, presenting various scientific updates and open lessons.
