Department of “Exact Sciences”
For an effective organization of the educational process and further improvement of the management system the department of “Natural Sciences” was established at the Kimyo International University in Tashkent (KIUT), by order number 2 of the rector in January 14th 2019. From August 12 by order number 74 of the rector, the department was renamed to the “Exact Sciences”.
Since its foundation, the department has been headed by the candidate of physical and mathematical sciences Sagidullaev Khalmurza Saparbaevich. The department has 1 academician, 6 doctors of science (DSc), professors, 19 candidates of science (PhD), associate professors, 15 senior lecturers.
The following subjects are taught at the department: “Mathematics”, “Elementary Mathematics course”, “Mathematics for Economics”, “Mathematical analysis”, “Linear Algebra and Geometry”, “Discrete Mathematics”, “Analysis”, “Geometry”, “Applied Mathematics”, “Probability Theory and Statistical Methods”, “Basic Statistics” va “Econometrics” in three languages (English, Russian and Uzbek).
Of these subjects, students study: the concept of sets, number theory, sequences, equations, inequalities, systems, functions, limit, derivative, integral, series, various coordinate systems, vectors, analytic geometry in the plane and in space, definitions of probability, the concept of sampling, population, random variables, distribution functions, correlation-regression and dispersion analysis, modeling, hypothesis testing, time series, forecasting methods, application of statistical methods using computer programs R, Stata and others.
