Today, the success of science in the development of society, including advances in new biomedical technologies and research in the life sciences, is radically changing the image of medicine as a form of science and research.

The purpose of medical knowledge and medical activity is to maintain human life and health. The skill of a doctor is also measured not only by knowledge of the etiology and pathogenesis of diseases, making the correct diagnosis and treatment tactics, but also by the ability to interact with the patient, give the right instructions, and believe in recovery. Human science also provides social and humanitarian knowledge and spiritual heights, and therefore the problem of physician morality is an integral part of medical activity.

The globalization of health in human development, the success of biological medical research today, has radically transformed the image of medicine as a form of science and activity, and more emphasis has been placed on the value system. Today's doctor is a person who has the means to influence the birth of children, the life and death of a person, as well as his behavior. The formation of the professional competence of medical personnel is to increase medical knowledge and move on to special knowledge and skills (the quality of healthcare cannot be greater than the education and knowledge received).

The goal of the department is - organization of the educational process for students studying in the areas of "General medicine" and "Dentistry" using modern and innovative approaches in the fundamental sciences, which are considered the fundamental basis of medicine. In addition, to use advanced pedagogical technologies for the training of highly qualified specialists in the field of medicine.

Main responsibilities:

• Conducting lectures, practical classes, laboratory and other types of classes at the theoretical, scientific, methodological and professional level specified in the curriculum;
• Conducting industrial practice of students, various projects, research work, the introduction of rating control for assessing students' knowledge and organizing independent work;
• Development of syllabuses on the subjects of the department and their introduction into the educational process in the prescribed manner.
• Development of educational and methodological material, prepare textbooks, teaching aids and methodological instructions to improve the quality of the educational process;
• Carrying out research work, involving gifted students, creating conditions for participation in olympiads and competitions;
• Ensuring the participation of professors and teachers in local and international scientific conferences;
• Strengthening cooperation with republican institutions in the field of education, treatment and scientific activities.
