Department of "Fundamental medical science"

There are some professions in the world whose labor is directly related to humanity’s life, their lifestyle, and the community’s life. One such profession is Doctor. They have been devoting their lives to the extremely responsible and honorable work of protecting human health. In particular, family doctors have an incomparable role in maintaining the health of the population as the primary link between medicine and determining a healthy lifestyle in society.
In a country where human dignity is valued and interests are prioritized, growth and development will continue to grow. Most important thing is, during the years of independence, positive changes and updates have been observed in all aspects of our country based on this principle; additionally, consistent reforms are being implemented in the path of the free and prosperous life of our people.
In our country, valuing the work of doctors, and creating suitable conditions for them, wide application of the most modern technologies in the field of protecting public health is constantly being considered as one of the most priority directions of state policy.
In particular, improving the quality and efficiency of providing primary medical and sanitary assistance to the population, to strengthen the role and status of medical workers in society, following the President's decree "On measures to introduce completely new mechanisms to the activities of primary medical and sanitary care institutions and to further increase the efficiency of reforms carried out in the health care system", to train highly qualified family doctors, taking into account the need for highly qualified specialists in the field of medicine in our country, the "General medicine" and "Dentistry" educational faculty was established at the International University of Kimyo in Tashkent in 2021. At the same time, the Department of "Fundamental Medical Sciences" was established to teach medical sciences in these faculties.
The professors of the department are specialists in medical biological and fundamental sciences, and to train general practitioners to enter the medical profession, to teach the basics of scientific research, to observe the principles of interpersonal communication with the population, special attention is paid to pedagogy and psychology to teach the proper implementation of promotion work.
The department cooperates with several state and private medical institutions to prepare students for medical practice. In particular, the Republican Center of Specialized Phthisiatry and Pulmonology, City Clinic No. 1, City Clinic No. 3, Family Polyclinic No. 59, etc. At the same time, several practical works are carried out by the department's employees in scientific research and innovative areas.

The goal of the department is - organization of the educational process for students studying in the areas of "General medicine" and "Dentistry" using modern and innovative approaches in the fundamental sciences, which are considered the fundamental basis of medicine. And also to use advanced pedagogical technologies for the training of highly qualified specialists in the field of medicine.

Main responsibilities:

• Conducting lectures, practical classes, laboratory and other types of classes at the theoretical, scientific, methodological and professional level specified in the curriculum;
• Conducting industrial practice of students, various projects, research work, the introduction of rating control for assessing students' knowledge and organizing independent work;
• Development of syllabuses on the subjects of the department and their introduction into the educational process in the prescribed manner.
• Development of educational and methodological material, prepare textbooks, teaching aids and methodological instructions to improve the quality of the educational process;
• Carrying out research work, involving gifted students, creating conditions for participation in olympiads and competitions;
• Ensuring the participation of professors and teachers in local and international scientific conferences;
• Strengthening cooperation with republican institutions in the field of education, treatment and scientific activities.
