Brief history of the department:
The Department of “Pedagogy and Psychology” in 2021 separated from the Department of “Social and Humanitarian Sciences” (the former Yeoju Technical Institute in Tashkent, the current Kimyo International University in Tashkent.) Associate Professor Nasiba Kholyigitova Khabibullaevna is the first head of the department. To date, the Department functions as a structural unit of the school "Education" and teaches subjects in modern areas of the science of pedagogy and psychology in accordance with the following educational areas:
bachelor - pre-school education, primary education, special pedagogy (defectology) and Korean philology;
master - primary education (theory and methodology of education) and preschool education (theory and methodology of education).
Goals and objectives of the department:
Goals: To develop the professional creativity and theoretical and practical methodological knowledge, skills and competencies of primary school teachers as well as educators of preschool and general secondary education institutions of the Republic.
Objective: In order to increase the effectiveness of teaching in primary and preschool education, the following tasks will be implemented:

The department also has a well-established research and collaboration activities, 2 independent researchers conducting research on improving primary education, ongoing cooperation with 300 well-known specialized secondary schools as well as VOSIQ International School and Kindergarten, Leader School.

Since 2020, she has been working as the head of the "Pedagogy and Psychology" department at Kimyo International University in Tashkent. She has over 27 years of teaching experience. Scientific activity: 19.00.05 – She defended her thesis on the topic "The Effect of Group Cohesion on the Stability of Professional Motives in Students" to receive the scientific degree of candidate of Psychology in the field of Social Psychology and Ethnopsychology. More than 100 works have been published by N.K. Kholyigitova, among them 1 textbook, 2 training manuals (co-authored), 4 methodological manuals, 18 scientific articles, and articles and theses at 69 international and national conferences.
Since 2021, he has been working as an associate professor at the department of Pedagogy and Psychology of Kimyo International University in Tashkent. Doctor of Philosophy in the field of pedagogical sciences (PhD). Scientific activity: 13.00.02-Theory and Methodology of Education. The department teaches the subjects Theory of General Pedagogy, History of General Pedagogy, Methods of Natural Sciences and their Teaching. The author of the textbook General Pedagogy and textbooks Natural Science and the Methodology of its Teaching for the Primary Education students. He is the author of more than 30 scientific articles in the journals of the international and the Local Higher Attestation Commission.
Since 2021, she has been working as an associate professor at the department of Pedagogy and Psychology of Kimyo International University in Tashkent. Doctor of Philosophy in Psychological Sciences (PhD). Scientific activity: 19.00.05 Social Psychology. Ethnopsychology. She teaches Basic Psychology, General Psychology, Psychology and Psychodiagnostics of Children, Pedagogical Competence at the department. The author of the textbook General Psychology for Primary and Preschool Education students and the textbooks "Ethnopsychology" and "Psychological Consultation and Psycho Correction" for Psychology students. She is the author of more than 50 scientific articles in international and local HAC journals.
T.H. Salmanova has been working at KIUT since 2021. Conducts lectures and practical classes on subjects General Psychology, Introduction to Preschool Education Theory, The History of General Pedagogy, Creative Pedagogy, Family Pedagogy, General Pedagogy, Introduction to the Theory of Primary Education for undergraduate students. T. Salmanova. is a researcher in 19.00.06- Age and Pedagogical Psychology, Psychology of Development Field. T. Salmanova has published 10 scientific articles, including a patent for a textbook on career guidance "Professionogram of Professions". In 2021, she underwent advanced training at UzMU.
From 2020, he has been working as a senior teacher at the Pedagogy and Psychology department of the Tashkent International University of Chemistry. Scientific activity: from 2022, he has been working as an independent researcher at the university to obtain a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Pedagogy on the topic "Improving the Management Competence of Future Primary School Teachers in the Development of an Innovative Educational Environment". 13.00.07 – Management in Education. More than 10 scientific articles have been published.
