Education Quality Control Department

The mission of the Education Quality Control Department:

study and analysis of the compliance of university students' knowledge with the State Education Standards, monitoring the quality of training, organization of institutional and program accreditation of an educational institution, identification of factors that negatively affect the quality of education, and consideration of measures to eliminate and prevent them.

The purpose of the Department is:

  • determination of directions and mechanisms for the development and quality management of the educational process;
  • continuous development of the quality management system for educational activities based on international standards;
  • information support and assistance to the departments of the University in regulatory support in the field of quality management, improving the efficiency of the quality management system, improving the quality of educational services provided, and training highly qualified specialists in demand in Uzbekistan and abroad;
  • promoting the introduction of innovations in the activities of the University and the development of infrastructure, as well as the systemic integration of education, science, and production in order to improve the quality of educational services;
  • assistance in the development of the processes of integration of the University into the international educational space;
  • processing applications and assessing the level of satisfaction of internal and external stakeholders with the quality of the University's activities.

The department performs the following tasks and functions:

  • development of normative and informational materials in the field of quality management;
  • preparation of the University to successfully pass audits for compliance with international standards;
  • preparation of the University for successful accreditation of individual educational programs;
  • involvement of university employees in the preparation of reports, as well as to conduct a preliminary analysis of the effectiveness of the University and the collegial development of recommendations for improvements;
  • improvement of the quality management system of the University in accordance with national and international requirements, as well as the expectations of stakeholders.
  • description and updating of the processes and activities of the University;
  • development and implementation of process management mechanisms according to efficiency and effectiveness criteria;
  • preparation of the University for external audits of the quality management system for compliance with the requirements of international quality management standards;
  • implementation of measures to conduct audits in structural divisions and monitor the quality of education at the University;
  • systematic analysis of the results of internal audits of the quality management system and performance results in order to find areas for improvement;
  • ensuring the suitability of the results of the analysis of activities for making managerial decisions;
  • carrying out a comparative analysis of the activities of other educational organizations and the exchange of experience on the issues of education quality management;
  • studying the requirements of consumers to the level of quality of training of graduates of the University;
  • information support and consulting of structural subdivisions on issues of education quality management;
  • information support of the University's divisions in the field of ensuring the quality of education and the introduction of innovative technologies in educational activities;
  • monitoring of the educational process (correspondence of classes to the schedule, compliance of the content of curricula, syllabuses, etc.);
  • monitoring the results of the activities of the teaching staff and the level of provision with educational and methodological materials using the online platform intranet.kiut.uz


 

Since then, the University has received the International Certificate of Quality Management System ISO 9001:2015, and also received International Accreditation for 9 educational programs and for humanitarian and economic areas entered the database of The European Quality Assurance Register for Higher Education (EQAR).

 

At present, the strategic task has been set to enter the EUR-ACE (European Accredited Engineer) database in technical areas and conduct international accreditation of all educational programs, as well as conduct International institutional accreditation of the entire university in the coming years.
