"QUARTZ - Quality Assurance for Reform and Transformation of Higher Educational Institutions in Uzbekistan" was held
On June 18 this year, the first meeting of the project "QUARTZ - Quality Assurance for Reform and Transformation of Higher Educational Institutions in Uzbekistan" was held. It is being coordinated by Kimyo International University in Tashkent within the framework of the Erasmus + program of the European Union. The opening speeches were delivered by the rector of Varna University of Management Todor Radev and the acting rector of Kimyo International University in Tashkent Karimjon Akhmedjanov. They congratulated the participants of the meeting on the initial stage of the project implementation and wished success to the work of the meeting. According to the agenda of the first day, after the opening ceremony, introductory presentations were made by Varna University of Management (VUM), Bulgaria, Universita degli Studi Dell'Aquila (UnivAQ) Italy, Kimyo International University in Tashkent (KIUT), Central Asian University (CAU), Urgench branch of the Tashkent University of Information Technologies (UbTUIT), Silk Road International University in Tourism (SRIUT). During the meeting, issues related to the goals and objectives of the project, strategy and work plan, stages, deadlines and financial aspects of the project and tasks of the participants were discussed. In particular, the participants considered work done over three years at stages WP1, WP2, WP3, WP4, WP5, the results of the survey on the quality of education which was prepared and conducted by KIUT, as well as the corresponding measures to be taken. Debates on the above issues were held at the training seminar. A photo shoot was also organized for the project participants.
