In order to effectively organize the leisure of young people, a football tournament called the "CHAIR’S CUP" was organized among the students of the Department of History

According to the results of the tournament, the winners were awarded in such nominations as "Best Forward", "Most active player", "Best Defender", "Best goalkeeper", "Best amateur player". Full time education groups HST-71U and HST-72U as well as the evening groups HSTE-71U and HSTE-72 took an active part in the tournament. The winners of the tournament were selected according to the following match results: 1st match HST-71U- 6- : -0 -HST-72U, 2nd match HSTE-71U- 2- : -1 -HSTE-72U, the match for the 3rd place HST-72U- 3- : -0 -HSTE-72, the final match HST-71U- 1- : -4 -HSTE-71U. At the end of the tournament, the most talented football players were selected among the students. They got the opportunity to participate in the upcoming football tournaments held at the university. The Cup was awarded personally by the Doctor of Philosophy in History, (PhD), acting Professor Akbar Zamanov.
