A festival dedicated to the culture of South Korea and Uzbekistan took place


Today a festival dedicated to the culture of South Korea and Uzbekistan started in Tashkent. Various events were organized within the framework of the event, reflecting the rich culture and traditions of both nations.

As you know, Kimyo International University in Tashkent cooperates with a number of prestigious universities in South Korea. The university implements projects, grant and scholarship programs and examinations together with the Education Center and the Embassy of the Republic of Korea. The university also actively participated in many events within the framework of today's festival.

One of the most interesting parts of the festival is the “Fashion Show” which was organized in the Korean Culture and Art House. This show, conducted by students of the Faculty of Fashion Design, featured traditional costumes of Uzbekistan and Korea. The costumes, reflecting the rich culture and traditions of both nations, made a great impression on the audience. One of the most important moments of the event was the signing of a memorandum of cooperation between Kimyo International University in Tashkent and the Korean Culture and Art House. This memorandum is aimed at strengthening scientific and cultural ties between the two organizations. At the event, acting Rector of KIUT prof. Karimjon Akhmedjanov awarded the chairman of the Institute of Culture and Scientific Research, Mr. Ra Jong Ok, the title of honorary professor of the university. At the end of the event, KIUT partners were presented with memorable gifts.

Also during the event, a memorandum of cooperation was signed between our university and the Lotte Scholarship Foundation, one of the largest foundations in Korea. Ms. Haesun Chang, Chairman of the Lotte Foundation, presented scholarships to Kimyo International University in Tashkent. This will allow university students to study at the most prestigious universities in Korea, as well as undergo practical training at world-famous companies.

Moreover, an agreement was reached to establish future cooperation with influential organizations in Korea, including Chosun Ilbo, Mail Economic, TV Chosun, MBN, LG, POSCO, KT&G and their representatives.

This festival serves to further strengthen cultural ties between South Korea and Uzbekistan and strengthen friendly relations.
