
Kimyo International University in Tashkent is expanding cooperation with prestigious universities in Europe and Asia
Eurasia Higher Education Summit (EURIE 2025) convened in Istanbul, Turkey, with Professor Karimjon Ahmedjanov, Rector of Kimyo International University in Tashkent, and Utkir Butaev, Head of the Language and Translation Studies programmes, in attendance.
The summit has convened annually for ten years as a leading international forum connecting the higher education systems of Asia and Europe. Its jubilee edition brought together high‑ranking guests, scholars, and leading specialists. Distinguished participants included Mustafa Aydın (President of Istanbul Aydın University), Zambry Abdul Kadir (Malaysian Minister of Higher Education), Martin Hope (Global Head of Tertiary Education and Science Partnerships of British Council), and Dr Erol Özvar (President of Council of Higher Education of Republic of Turkiye).
Participants examined the internationalization of higher education, contemporary trends, pedagogical innovations, and the development of scientific research in depth. The university delegation met with representatives of various foreign universities and agreed on promising areas of cooperation, including joint scientific projects, exchange of experiences, student and faculty mobility programmes, internships, and professional development schemes.
During the international education exhibition, they also discussed collaboration with NAFSA: Association of International Educators, the Embassy of Canada’s Trade Commissioner Service, the British Council, the FIIBA International Accreditation Agency (Germany), KOC University, University Utara Malaysia, YHANK Institute of Malta, and Alanya University.
University representatives actively participated in workshops and seminars organized within the summit framework, such as “AI Trends and Practices for Digital Marketing and Internationalisation in Higher Education,” “Power of Transnational Education,” and “Transformative Global Learning.”
