KIUT Delegation Visits Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT)

The delegation of Kimyo International University in Tashkent (KIUT), represented by the university’s Vice-Rector Rod Powell and Akmal Rustamov, visited the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) to discuss collaboration in the field of engineering education.

During the visit, KIUT representatives met with MIT Engineering Programs Coordinator Srini Devadas, MIT NEET (New Engineering Education Transformation) Communications Representative Sarah McCullough, and MIT TERRASCOPE Program Director Ari Epstein. The discussions focused on engineering education collaboration, joint research projects, and the implementation of innovative educational programs.

This partnership will provide KIUT students with the opportunity to learn from MIT’s experience, work with cutting-edge technologies, and participate in international scientific projects. Additionally, future plans include faculty exchange programs and the establishment of joint engineering laboratories.

The collaboration with MIT strengthens KIUT’s position in the international education landscape, offering new opportunities for students and faculty to engage in scientific research and innovation.

This initiative marks a significant step not only for KIUT but also for Uzbekistan’s education system, paving the way for the broader integration of advanced engineering knowledge and technologies.
