On May 31 of this year, an international scientific and practical conference on the topic "Current issues of teaching methods in social and humanitarian sciences" was held at the Namangan branch of Kimyo International University in Tashkent.
The conference was actively attended by the university's international partners, including the universities of Strathclyde, Cardiff Metropolitan and Nile (United Kingdom), MARA University of Technology (Malaysia), Roosevelt University (USA), Varna University of Management (Republic of Bulgaria), national universities of Hanyang, Gachon, Hankyong (South Korea), Necmettin Erbakan University (Turkey), a number of universities from the Russian Federation, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan and other CIS countries, as well as representatives of the administration of Namangan region and the city of Namangan, the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation, and other international and local higher education institutions, interested ministries and departments, public organizations and diplomatic missions of foreign countries in Uzbekistan.
The conference was opened by the acting rector of the university K.B. Akhmedjanov. The participants of the conference were warmly greeted by the Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation of the Republic of Uzbekistan K.A. Sharipov, the founder of Kimyo International University Tashkent A.V. Vakhobov, the rector of the Varna University of Management (Bulgaria) T. Radev, the deputy khokim of the Namangan region for construction, communications, utilities, ecology and landscaping G.O. Djamalov and the deputy khokim for youth policy, social development and spiritual and educational work G.S. Murodkhodjayev and the khokim of Namangan city A.Kh. Otakhodjayev. At the plenary session, representatives of Uzbekistan, the United States of America, the Russian Federation, the Republic of Latvia, the Republic of Tajikistan and Zambia made interesting reports on modern trends, problems and solutions in teaching social and humanitarian sciences, as well as cooperation in this area. In particular, current trends in teaching foreign languages, cooperation in the field of education between Uzbekistan and Latvia, the importance of national initiatives for the development of education in Uzbekistan, the main problems of education and upbringing of the younger generation, advanced training of specialists in teaching social sciences and humanities and other topical issues were discussed.
In the afternoon, the conference continued in separate areas, such as pedagogy and psychology, special pedagogy, literature and linguistics, English and Russian languages, social sciences and humanities, where they discussed methods of interactive teaching of social sciences and humanities, the formation of students' basic competencies, the importance of education in the social and personal development of children and adolescents with disabilities, the role of innovative educational technologies in the process of global change, current problems of teaching English and Russian as foreign languages, as well as issues related to improving the methods of teaching social sciences and humanities in non-specialized educational areas. These issues were discussed by professors, teachers, scientific practitioners, researchers, graduate students and scientific conclusions were formulated.
Following the first day of the conference, active speakers were presented with memorable gifts and certificates.
On the second day of the conference, foreign guests and conference participants visited the 63rd traditional international flower festival, which is being held in Namangan - the city of flowers, as well as other sightseeings.
