On obtaining a certificate of conformity of the quality management system ISO 9001:2015.
Today, April 16, an event was held at Kimyo International University in Tashkent to solemnly grant the certificate of conformity of the ISO 9001:2015 quality management system to the educational institution. The event was attended by professors and teachers of the university, as well as employees of the ISO 9001 quality management system certification body.
At Kimyo International University in Tashkent, an external audit was carried out by specialists from the certification body “Russkiy Registr-Srednaya Azia” OJSC, the official partner of the independent certification body "URS Certification" in Uzbekistan, accredited by UKAS - the accreditation service of the United Kingdom, which is the only national accreditation body in United Kingdom, with offices in more than 30 countries. UKAS and URS certificates are recognized certificates for conformity assessment, in particular for assessing compliance with national and international standards of organizations providing services such as certification, testing, inspection, calibration and verification. Based on the audit results, it was confirmed that Kimyo International University in Tashkent complies with the requirements of the international quality management system standard ISO 9001:2015. It is known that the ISO 9001 quality management system is a globally recognized international standard, which is aimed not only at meeting customer needs, but also at solving strategic business problems facing the organization. During the certification process, you can assess risks and opportunities in the service sector, eliminate and prevent errors and shortcomings in the management process.
Kimyo International University in Tashkent first began its activities as the first non-state higher educational institution of the republic under the name “Yeoju Technical Institute in Tashkent”, and in 2020 it became one of the first non-state higher educational institutions of the republic that received a certificate of the international standard ISO 9001:2015. Today this educational institution has the status of a university and offers 37 undergraduate and 22 graduate programs. Obtaining of international and national certificates from the external auditors at today's event indicates that the management system and quality of education in this institution meet the requirements of the international standard.
In the modern era of globalization and increasing competition in the field of education, the achievement of high quality and cost-effectiveness of higher education institutions depends on their ability to develop an integrated approach to improving quality. Therefore, the creation of a quality management system at a university at a high level makes it possible to optimize educational processes, regulate and properly manage the organization’s activities, improve financial performance, increase business profitability while reducing the cost of services provided. Reports and certificates accredited by UKAS are recognized by other signatories as technically equivalent.
Having an ISO 9001:2015 certificate gives a university the following advantages:
- the image and rating of the university is enhanced, its position in the competitive market is improved and access to new markets is provided;
- the trust of clients and partners in the university increases, it becomes possible to quickly respond to changes in the external environment;
- ties of intellectual, technical and economic cooperation are strengthened, opportunities for mutual recognition are expanded;
- allows to increase the efficiency of the management system, identify operational shortcomings and improve the situation;
- allows to improve the quality of education at the university and organize the educational process on the basis of international educational standards;
- the efficiency of internal operational processes increases, the responsibility of staff for improving the quality of education increases;
- makes it possible to ensure the requirements for proper planning and implementation of business processes.
Most importantly, the ISO 9001:2015 certificate indicates that the university’s quality management system complies with international standards and places greater responsibility for improving quality on the management system at all levels.
