Students of Kimyo International University in Tashkent won 1 gold and 1 silver medals at II Open International Olympiad in Informatics OIOIUS-2024
Students of Kimyo International University in Tashkent won 1 gold and 1 silver medals at II Open International Olympiad in Informatics OIOIUS-2024. Following the results of the event, the winners of the International Olympiad were presented with valuable prizes, medals and diplomas on behalf of the President of the Republic of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov.
The opening ceremony of the II Open International Olympiad in Informatics OIOIUS-2024 was held at the International Oil and Gas University named after Yagshigeldy Kakaev. 4th year student Yuldashev Farrukh and 3rd year students Abdukhamidov Abdurakhmon and Oleg Pak, of the Information Systems Engineering faculty participated from Kimyo International University in Tashkent. The team went through all stages of the Olympiad under the mentorship of Yusupov Yusuf, a KIUT teacher. The large-scale event, held in a hybrid format, was attended by the management and teachers of local and foreign universities. The main heroes of the event were the students - talented IT specialists from Turkmenistan and other countries. At the first stage, participants were given 5 tasks which required to solve practical problems in programming languages based on a task list approved by the organizers. At the second stage, technical tasks for a comprehensive solution to cybersecurity problems were presented. The tasks were developed by a working group consisting of Turkmen and foreign professors and specialists and approved by the jury members.
This year, more than 270 students from 52 universities of 18 countries took part in the Olympiad - Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Afghanistan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Belarus, Armenia, Iran, Libya, Qatar, Turkey, Germany, Romania, Georgia and China.
