Today, as part of an official visit, our representatives visited the Hanyang University


At the meeting, a number of issues of bilateral relations were discussed, in particular, prospects for the development of active cooperation in such areas as sending the faculty members of the Kimyo International University in Tashkent to the Hanyang University for advanced training, joint educational programs, student exchange. Also, much attention was paid to the possibilities of experiential research based on the scientific potential of innovative laboratories.
During the dialogue, an agreement was reached on the development and implementation of a "road map" regulating the issues of further expansion and development of cooperation between the parties. As a reminder, many of our students are currently enrolled in the 2+2 program at the Hanyang University.
For reference: the Hanyang University is one of the private universities in South Korea, the main campus of which is located in Seoul, and the other, the Educational Research Industry Cluster or ERICA, is located in Ansan. Hanyang (Hanyang; hàngàng) comes from the former name of the capital Seoul, used during the Chosun Dynasty.
Hanyang University was founded as the Dong-A Institute of Engineering in 1939, which later became the founding institution of the Hanyang University. The university established the first school of architecture and civil engineering in South Korea.
The Hanyang University has an alumni network of 330,000 that is not limited to the field of engineering but also to other fields. In 2018, Hanyang was ranked 1st for the number of CEO alumni of venture companies. In 2019, QS World University Rankings ranked Hanyang University 150th.
The university welcomes over 7,400 foreign students each year and more than 3,000 students study abroad annually. It counts the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, the University of Cambridge, and the Tsinghua University among its 820 partner universities in 88 countries.
