topic “Remembering the Jadids”


On May 8, 2024, the Department of Pedagogy and Psychology of the Faculty of Primary, Preschool, Special Education organized a very informative and actual event on the topic “Remembering the Jadids.” This event was dedicated to an in-depth study of the educational reforms of our great ancestors, the founders of the movement of enlightenment and national revival in Uzbekistan.

The main purpose of the event was to convey to the general public knowledge about the reforms carried out by the Jadids and their contribution to the field of education. Moreover, it was aimed at giving teachers and students the opportunity to benefit from their scientific and pedagogical heritage.

During the event, various lectures were given on the Jadid movement and their achievements in the field of education. Professors and experienced teachers spoke in detail about how the teachings of the Jadids influenced the modern education system, as well as their innovative methods and reforms. In particular, they talked about new methodological approaches, textbooks and teaching methods introduced by the Jadids.

In addition, during the event, the literary works of the Jadids and their socio-political views were discussed. Thanks to this literature, it became possible to understand how the Jadids fought against widespread backwardness and ignorance in society in that period, as well as to become familiar with their efforts to develop science and education.
