Korean Philology


Course description 

The study of the Korean language and literature is known as Korean philology. It also involves interpretation and analysis of Korean literature, including poetry, fiction, and theatre, as well as the history, structure, and usage of the Korean language. The linguistic and cultural factors that have shaped Korean literature and language are also a subject of study for Korean philologists.

Training of Korean language teachers who have professional knowledge in the field of teaching Korean and a broad understanding of Korean culture!

  • Development of an accurate curriculum for the education of outstanding specialists in the field of learning the Korean language.
  • Establishing a foundation for competent Korean language teachers with foreign language skills through hands-on learning of a foreign language.
  • Opening rich and useful courses related to teaching the Korean language and Korean culture.
  • Active learning and various club activities

Graduates in the field of Korean Philology can work in the following areas:

Korean language Teacher: Educating pupils in the Korean language at different levels and ages in a traditional classroom environment or as a private tutor

Korean Literature Researcher: Conduct studies and research on Korean literature, taking into account its background, topics, and literary genres
 

Translator: Translation of written content from Korean into other languages or from other languages into Korean. Translating spoken communication at conferences, business meetings, and official gatherings
 

Korean Culture Specialist: Promotion and protection of Korean culture through activities like cultural exhibitions, festivals, and educational initiatives
Journalist.
