The English Language Department was established in accordance with the rector’s initiative in 2018 and it is one of the biggest educational and scientific structural units of the Kimyo International University in Tashkent. Currently, the department staff consists of 15 full-time teachers, two foreign teachers, and 7 part-time teachers. Teachers of the department take CPD courses on a regular basis. In 2022, 6 department teachers completed the CELTA course with NILE, England, and 2 teachers took the TESOL course. In the summer of the same year, they took advanced training courses in the UK on CLIL and Materials Design. Several teachers are studying in the research writing MA program at Westminster International University and Trinity Certificate for Practicing Teachers qualification, the UK. The department staff is interested in various areas of research in teaching English, especially the use of information technology in teaching ESP such as tourism and medical English, intercultural competence, and methodology courses.
Students are involved in different Educational, Social, and Cultural events organized by the department. The department organizes the Spelling Bee contest, the Earth Day Exhibition, and the Culture Day celebration annually. Since 2019 The Republican Students’ Conference has been organized annually. Clubs (Speaking Club, IELTS writing Club, and Movie Club) are run by the department to help university students improve their English.

She took the Trinity Course for Practising Teachers (CertPT), which is an in-service vocational teaching qualification at Level 6 on Ofqual’s Regulated Qualifications Framework. Dilfuza Tursunova is the author of 20 scientific articles and worked as a member of different international projects like PRESETT and Change Academy. He has been teaching English in tertiary institutions and the government and private sector in Europe, the Middle East, China, and S.E. Asia since 1982. He is TEFL-certified ,a certified Spanish -English translator, and language consultation for British Council .Having worked and studied in 10 countries , he has been a resident of Uzbekistan since 2015.

Ahmed has been a senior lecturer at Kimyo International University in Tashkent since August 2021. Ahmed Basyoni has more than 16 years of experience in scientific and pedagogical work. He has published more than 6 papers in various Scopus, ISI, and WOS journals besides participating in regional and international conferences.
Research interests: Global Citizenship Education and Language Learning, Pre-service Teacher Education Programs. Biography English language teacher since 2020 at Kimyo International University in Tashkent, has 10 years of teaching experience in English Language Teaching. She graduated from Webster University in Tashkent doing MA TESL and MA EDIN programs, after earning her Bachelor’s degree at Jizzakh State Pedagogical University. She took CELTA course at NILE in the UK. She studied the “From Teacher to Trainer” course at NILE and Teaching English as a Foreign Language at Webster University in Tashkent. Biography Senior Lecturer at Kimyo International University (KIUT) since October 2018. A senior ESP teacher with 25 years of teaching experience, and holder of several international certificates, she completed a course in CLIL at Nile University in Norwich, England. She is the author of a number of scientific publications in local and international journals and has participated in various international conferences as well as attending periodical courses for teachers’ professional development.

Has developed a syllabus for young learners and completed a course in CLIL at Nile University in Norwich, England. Lazizakhon has her articles published and developed a study guide on Technical English, has experience in teaching learners of all ages in multi-faceted classes. Laziza conducted teacher training for colleagues while working as a Head teacher at an English Teaching Center, and successfully completed a “Public Speaking Course” and “Awareness in Digital -literacy” course. Scientific branch: Biography Sabina Melieva has 7 years of pedagogical and scientific experience. She graduated from Uzbekistan World Languages University, holder of Master's degree in Linguistics (English Language), CELTA and IELTS certificates and has been an EFL teacher at Kimyo International University in Tashkent since 2019. For the last 5 years, she has been teaching General English, Business English, Elementary English Teaching Methods to students of various levels, has created materials and syllabi for students, conducted extracurricular activities, and published scientific articles in local and international journals.
