A little about the museum.
The museum has been operating for about 15 years. Its founders are a married couple of simple school teachers - mathematician Bakhtiyor Yunusovich Pulatov and physics teacher Dildora Rakhimovna Pulatova. The couple worked at the school for many years, raised three daughters and got used to being surrounded by people. When the Pulatovs retired, and the children moved out, there was a lot of free time. Initially, they grew an ornamental gourd, locally called “tomosh kovok”, for sale. At the same time, the Pulatovs kept the fruits of an unusual shape in their yard. Once an artist close to the couple suggested painting a dried fruit. The couple really liked the result, and they decided to learn how to turn an ordinary pumpkin into an original craft.
Currently, the Pumpkin Museum is known far beyond the borders of Uzbekistan. The family is sent garden seeds from many countries. In the Pulatovs' garden, you can see 32 varieties of pumpkin
