FASHION DESIGN FACULTY IS ONE OF THE TWELVE FACULTIES OPENED IN THE 2019/2020 ACADEMIC YEAR AT THE YEOJU TECHNICAL INSTITUTE IN TASHKENT (HEREINAFTER REFERRED TO AS THE INSTITUTE).

FASHION DESIGN FACULTY IS ONE OF THE TWELVE FACULTIES OPENED IN THE 2019/2020 ACADEMIC YEAR AT THE YEOJU TECHNICAL INSTITUTE IN TASHKENT (HEREINAFTER REFERRED TO AS THE INSTITUTE).


Entrance examinations to the faculty of Fashion Design are held in a creative form, that is, in a pencil drawing and costume composition.
At the faculty of Fashion Design, students have the opportunity to gain in-depth knowledge in the following compositional areas:
- design program (development of design and clothing project);
- pencil drawing/painting;
- the history of fashion (the study of socio-cultural sources);
- work with materials, textures, colors;
- modern graphic programs (work with innovative computer technologies);
- sewing technique;
- style and photography.
The main disciplines of the Fashion Design faculty allow students not only to gain deep theoretical knowledge, but also to form and develop practical skills in their chosen profession.
Starting from the initial year, the institute provides the opportunity to perform at professional fashion weeks, participate in national and international competitions and collaborate with fashion brands. Exams in the faculty of Fashion Design are held in the form of exhibitions.
Curriculum Objectives:
- training in pre-project research (state of the problem, trend, concept, graphical analysis);
- training in the formation and creation of author's concepts in the fashion industry;
- training in the implementation of the author's collection as a project based on the study of creative sources of international collections in the fashion collection;
- training in the analysis of the current state of marketing in the context of trends;
- training in graphical analysis.
Final result:
- students will master the sufficient potential and will have the opportunity to realize themselves in a professional environment;
- students in practice will combine gained knowledge, art and design skills;
- students will conduct design and analytical research and apply the acquired knowledge in individual work.
Every year the institute organizes a show called "AVOLARE" with the participation the 1st- and 2nd -year students. At this show, students demonstrate their knowledge of the subject of experimental drawing. For 2nd-3rd year students, a fashion show is organized annually with the support of the institute's management. The show presents a collection of clothes created by talented students. The show is attended not only by students, but also by experienced designers from abroad. Students of this faculty also publish scientific articles based on their experience gained during the academic year. Students participate with their collections in the week of arts held throughout the country. As part of the festive events held at the institute, a show of clothing models created by students of the faculty is also organized. During the 2021-2022 academic year, students took part in many festivals. In particular, at the Korean festival held at the Institute, students of the faculty organized an exhibition of Korean national costumes. On November 18-19-20, 2021 in Dushanbe city of the Republic of Tajikistan, students took part in the TAJIKISTAN FASHION WEEK with their collections. Designers from France, Morocco, Lebanon, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan and Iran also took part in the week.
MAIN EDUCATIONAL PROGRAM:
1st year:
At the initial stage of the bachelor's degree, the educational process is aimed at developing students' general knowledge and interests in the field of fashion design.
The main attention is paid to the subject areas of the faculty - the world history of fashion, pencil drawing / painting, fashion design, color planning.
In addition, students additionally study Korean, English and Russian. They acquire computer science, world history and the history of Uzbekistan.
2nd year:
In the second year, students receive in-depth knowledge in the following disciplines: fashion sketch, costume history, fashion studio, window display design, sewing techniques, clothing design planning, psychology (art therapy), menswear design, art history.
3rd year:
In the third year, students continue to expand their knowledge in the chosen specialty and will be able to apply the acquired knowledge during practical classes.
They also acquire theoretical and practical knowledge in disciplines such as fashion marketing information system, children's clothing, fashion tool design, fashion accessories, and designer graphics.
4th year:
Fourth year students will be able to apply their theoretical and practical knowledge and skills in the field of fashion design in individual innovative projects.
Students will continue to study areas such as fashion photography, personal collection building, business planning (presenting their own brand), and brand management.
Students of the Fashion Design faculty improve their skills in their final qualification project and receive the qualification of the chief designer.
