Financial knowledge put to the test: Student Olympiad held at Kimyo International University in Tashkent

On February 10, 2026, Kimyo International University in Tashkent hosted a student Olympiad organized by the Department of Finance within the framework of “Finance and Financial Literacy.” The competition focused on assessing both theoretical knowledge and practical decision-making skills.

Financial literacy has become a global priority in recent years. International reports indicate that insufficient financial skills directly affect personal financial resilience and the quality of economic decisions. In this context, university Olympiads serve as an objective tool to assess students’ preparedness for real-world challenges.

A total of 127 students registered in online and offline formats, with 52 participants advancing to the main stage and completing competitive tasks. The Olympiad evaluated students’ knowledge level, logical reasoning, and ability to apply finance concepts to simulated scenarios.

As a result, six students took prize places and were awarded during the 7th meeting of the University Council together with the department’s faculty members.

Winners and awardees:
1st place — Muazzam Mazbudova (3rd year, BAN-02U)
2nd place — Muhammadibrohim O‘tbosarov (2nd year, BMA-31U)
2nd place — Azizbek Tursunqulov (3rd year, FIN-02)

3rd place — Zebo Bekmetova (3rd year, FINE-01U)
