Japanese professor Minova Chikahiro was awarded the title of Honorary Professor of the Yeoju Technical Institute in Tashkent.

Yesterday rector Janpolat Kudaybergenov read out the decision to award the title of honorary professor to Professor Minova Chikahiro and solemnly handed over the title document.

The contribution of the professor to the development of scientific papers on the topic Analysis and strengthening of the seismic resistance of buildings is invaluable. Minova Chikahiro personally oversaw many years of scientific projects, such as teaching Japanese experience in the construction of earthquake-resistant buildings, the creation of laboratories organized at the institute. Currently, the professor will participate on behalf of the Yeoju Technical Institute in Tashkent at international scientific conferences.

The title of Honorary Professor gives Minova Chikahiro all the rights and privileges granted by the academic council of the institute.

For reference. The practice of awarding the title of honorary professor exists mainly in the UK and Germany, but also in many universities and colleges in the US, Australia, Hong Kong, Taiwan, China, New Zealand, Japan, Denmark and Canada. This honorary title may be conferred by a non-staff member of the university (professor, student, lecturer) or an employee for additional activity to his/her normal duties, taking into account his/her contribution.
