On 19 January 2026, an official delegation led by the Rector of Kimyo International University in Tashkent, Professor Akmal Baltayevich Allakuliyev, paid an official visit to University of the West of England (UWE Bristol), a prestigious higher education institution located in Bristol, United Kingdom.
During the visit, the two universities signed a Memorandum of Understanding, aimed at strengthening academic and research cooperation at an institutional level. The discussions focused on launching academic exchange programmes for students in Business and Finance, Engineering, Education, and Medicine, as well as on establishing professional development and research internship programmes for academic staff.
The most significant and forward-looking outcome of the meetings was the achievement of a preliminary agreement to establish a UWE Bristol branch at Kimyo International University in Tashkent. This initiative envisions the implementation of international education standards, the development of joint academic programmes, and the creation of broad opportunities for students and faculty based on the higher education system of the United Kingdom.
