On April 10 of this year, the founder of the Kimyo International University in Tashkent A. Vahobov, the rector of the University J. Kudaybergenov and university teaching professor T. Rasulov visited George Fox University
Members of the delegation were welcomed by Robin Baker, President of George Fox University. At the beginning of the meeting, Rector J. Kudaybergenov thanked the university representatives for the warm welcome and shared his vision of long-term plans for launching joint projects. During the negotiations, after the signing of the bilateral memorandum, a number of issues were considered regarding the strengthening of cooperation, mainly in the field of engineering, as well as in other areas, such as 2 + 2 and 3 + 1 programs, academic mobility, organization of advanced training courses. A decision was made to organize joint programs, special courses and summer schools at Kimyo International University in Tashkent for American students. In addition, the participants of the meeting agreed to organize the teaching of professors of George Fox University in Uzbekistan on the basis of the modular system.
“We hope that the issues that we discuss at today's meeting will have mutually beneficial results and open up great opportunities for young researchers,” said Robin Baker, president of the university.
At the end of the meeting, the parties agreed to prepare specific proposals on promising projects.
Our representatives also toured the campus with David Martinez, director of the George Fox University's Center for Study Abroad, and got to know the university's activities.
