Preparing Youth for the Global Labor Market: The Ambassador of Japan to Uzbekistan Visits Kimyo International University in Tashkent
Today, His Excellency Mr. Takashi Hattori, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Uzbekistan, paid a visit to Kimyo International University in Tashkent. During his visit, the Ambassador closely familiarized himself with the university’s activities, the medical cluster, and its educational and laboratory environments.
This visit is closely aligned with one of the priority directions of the national policy of the Republic of Uzbekistan — providing young people with decent employment opportunities and preparing them as competitive and qualified professionals abroad.
At a time when labor market cooperation between Uzbekistan and Japan is strengthening, the signing of new agreements for employment opportunities in Japan holds significant importance. In this process, candidates are expected to have modern knowledge, professional training, and, of course, strong proficiency in the Japanese language.
In this regard, the university leadership proposed an initiative to introduce Japanese language education from early childhood at Vosiq Internatioanl School and Kindergarten, which is operating within the university's education cluster. This will lay a solid foundation for Uzbek youth to not only find jobs in Japan but also to be recognized as highly qualified professionals in international companies.
Today’s visit reaffirmed the importance of strengthening the strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and Japan, as well as the vital role of educational institutions in preparing the younger generation for the global labor market.
