Safe Cyberspace and the Fight Against Drug Abuse – A Timely Priority
One of the most pressing challenges in youth development today is protecting young people from harmful influences, enhancing their legal awareness, and ensuring safety in cyberspace. To address these issues, educational institutions across the country are regularly holding preventive events.
In this regard, Kimyo International University in Tashkent hosted a preventive meeting as part of the month-long campaign “Safe Cyberspace and the Fight Against Drug Abuse.” The event was attended by representatives of the leadership and officers of the Yakkasaray District Department of Internal Affairs of Tashkent city, who engaged in an open dialogue with students.
During the session, students were provided with detailed information on combating drug-related crimes, preventing offenses in the field of information technology, and fostering a law-abiding culture. The speakers highlighted the ongoing efforts aimed at identifying and eliminating negative tendencies and drug-related crimes within educational institutions.
In addition, students watched video clips titled “On the Edge” and “Tashkent City Police Department Warns!” which illustrated, through real-life examples, the consequences of reckless decisions and unlawful behavior.
Such events not only raise awareness among students but also help instill a sense of responsibility, vigilance, and the ability to make sound life choices. Most importantly, these initiatives serve as a strong foundation for shaping a healthy lifestyle and an active civic mindset among young people.
