Today, Kimyo International University in Tashkent hosted a spiritual and educational meeting with students on the topics “Enlightenment Against Ignorance” and “The Priority of Human Dignity and Human Rights as the Foundation of Development.”
The event was attended by O. Kholikov, Chief Specialist of the Tashkent City Territorial Department of the Committee on Religious Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan, and B. Makhmudov, Chief Imam of the Rakhimkhon Khoji Ota Mosque of Yakkasaray district.
During the meeting, speakers emphasized the crucial role of education and enlightenment in combating ignorance and indifference, as well as the importance of developing critical thinking and independent decision-making skills among youth to protect them from destructive ideas and extremist views. The importance of harmonizing religious and secular knowledge in shaping a healthy worldview was also highlighted.
Special attention was given to the idea that the priority of human dignity and human rights serves as the foundation of societal development, while protecting individual rights and freedoms remains a key direction of state policy. The role of youth participation in building a democratic legal state and civil society was also emphasized.
The meeting was held in an interactive format, including active discussions and a question-and-answer session. Topics such as critical analysis of information on social media and improving legal awareness among students were discussed.
The event contributed to broadening students’ perspectives, strengthening spiritual resilience, and enhancing legal literacy.
