Traffic congestion
Traffic congestion, road accidents, and air pollution are challenges faced by almost every major city today. To address these issues effectively and to build environmentally friendly cities of the future, new knowledge, modern technologies, and professionals capable of applying them are essential.
Kimyo International University in Tashkent has taken an important step in this direction by opening the Intelligent Transportation Systems laboratory. This project was implemented within the framework of the European Union’s Erasmus+ program under the Green Deal initiative and has become a significant milestone in the development of the educational process.
From now on, students of the Traffic Management program, and in the near future those of the new Sustainable Transport major, will have access to a modern platform for practical training and scientific research. The laboratory is equipped with technologies that allow for traffic flow modeling, road accident analysis, safe traffic management, and assessment of harmful emissions into the environment.
Here, students acquire advanced tools to tackle global challenges — from ensuring road safety to creating sustainable transport systems. As a result, a new generation of specialists is being formed: fully compliant with international standards, highly competitive, and in strong demand on the labor market.
