Zulfiyakhanum


The Yeoju Technical Institute in Tashkent hosted a spiritual and educational, literary event named “The bright image of the woman of the nation in the person of Zulfiyakhanum”.

Zulfiyakhanum, the beloved poetess of the Uzbek people, was able to win the hearts of people with her graceful and charming poems, like springtime. She was born on March 1, 1915 in Tashkent. The collections “One day in the field”, “I sing morning”, “People who are close to my Heart”, “Tulip”, “Solar pen” won the hearts of Uzbek readers. Nations popular poetess Markhabo Karimova and Nargiza Asadova, a member of the Union of Writers of Uzbekistan, the head of the “Parvoz” literary club, were invited to the event as guests. They remembered the works of Zulfiyakhanum, the way of life and excellent mentoring traits. It was noted that the boundless love of Zulfiyakhanum for the poet Hamid Olimjon is commendable and is an example for modern youth. The poetesses also performed their own poems.

Students of the Education faculty of the institute performed poems from the works of Zulfiyakhanum, played scenes for the invited guests. Markhabo Karimova presented her autographed books to active students.
