Department of Applied Informatics

Goals of the department

The main goal of the department is the training of highly qualified specialists, competent, in demand in the labor market, corresponding to the professional competencies of the domestic and world level.

The main tasks of the department:

  • improving the quality of educational and methodological work based on innovative learning technologies;
  • creation of conditions that ensure the realization of educational needs and interests of students, the formation of their professional competencies;
  • introduction of new forms of educational and scientific work;
  • improving the quality of teaching academic disciplines with the introduction of the latest programs;
  • implementation of the University Policy in the field of quality;
  • creation of conditions for professional self-realization of teachers and staff of the department;
  • creation of conditions for research activities, implementation of its results in the educational process.

Doctor of Science (DSc) in Physics and Mathematics. He is head of the "Applied Informatics" department of Kimyo International University in Tashkent. In 2015, he graduated from the Polytechnic University of Turin (Italy) and received a Ph.D. degree. He received the Doctor of Science (DSc) degree in the field of 05.01.07 – Mathematical modeling. Numerical methods and complexes of applications. Scientific directions: modeling, numerical calculations, branched structures.

Research interests: Neural Networks, Machine Learning, Deep learning, Computer Vision. Scientific branch: Artificial Intelligence (Theoretical Computer Science) Biography Kabul Khudaybergenov is a researcher in the field of Theoretical Computer Science, with a focus on Neural Networks, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, and Reinforcement Learning. Known for his rigorous approach to advancing foundational theories in computational science, Kabul has contributed significantly to the understanding and development of intelligent systems. His work explores the boundaries between theory and practical application, making impactful strides in algorithm design, optimization, and artificial intelligence. He is an Associate Professor in the Department of Applied Informatics at Kimyo International University in Tashkent. His Ph.D. in Computer Science from National University of Uzbekistan, Uzbekistan, in 2020. Kabul has published numerous scientific papers, each reflecting his dedication to pushing the limits of machine learning and deep learning capabilities. His contributions are recognized in both academic and industry circles, with his research findings influencing various applications across these domains.

Associate Professor

Doctor of Philosophy in Technical Sciences. He works as an associate professor at the Applied Informatics department of Kimyo International University in Tashkent. In 2015, he graduated from the University of Technology of Belfort-Montbéliard (France) and received a PhD degree. In 2022, obtained the title of associate professor in 05.01.04 «Mathematical and software of computing machines, systems and computer networks». Scientific areas: modeling, simulation, numerical calculations, energy management, electric vehicles.

Master of Science (MSc) in Networks and Information Security. Senior lecturer in the department of Applied Informatics Kimyo International University in Tashkent. In 2017, he graduated from the Central Queensland University (Australia) and received a MSc degree. He received the Master of Science (MSc) degree in the field of Networks and Information Security. Enrolled in Phd in Tashkent State Economics University (March, 2021) Scientific directions: Networks, Malware detection, Wireless Sensory Networks.

Research interests: Computer science, engineering graphics, three-dimensional computer graphics Scientific branch: Engineering Graphics (Information Technology) Biography I am an Associate Professor in the Department of Applied Informatics at Kimyo International University in Tashkent. I received my PhD in Computer Graphics (Computer Science) from Tashkent Institute of Irrigation and Agricultural Land Reclamation Engineers in 2020 and my MSc in Information Technology from Tashkent State Pedagogical University of Information Technologies in 2014. I have authored and co-authored over 12 publications indexed in Web of Science and Scopus, including conference papers published by Springer. I have over five years of experience in the field of engineering graphics science. Previously, I worked as an Associate Professor at the Joint Belarusian-Uzbek Intersectoral Institute of Applied Technical Qualifications.

Research interests: Machine Learning, Deep learning, Speech recognition, Natural Language Processing, Emotion Recognition Scientific branch: Artificial Intelligence (Computer Science) Biography I am an Associate Professor in the Department of Applied Informatics at Kimyo International University in Tashkent. I earned my Ph.D. in Computer Engineering (Artificial Intelligence) from Gachon University, South Korea, in 2021, and my M.Sc. in Computer Engineering from Tashkent University of Information Technologies in 2017. I have authored and co-authored over 20 publications indexed in Web of Science and Scopus, including journals and flagship conference papers published by IEEE, Springer, and MDPI. I have more than three years of experience in data science and machine learning. Previously, I worked as a Research Professor at Gachon University in South Korea and as a Machine Learning Engineer at AI Health Company.

Research interests: Artificial Intelligence, Machine learning, Deep Learning, Computer Vision Scientific branch: Digital technologies and artificial intelligence (05.01.11) Biography Since 2024, started working a teacher at the “Applied Informatics” department of the Kimyo International University in Tashkent. Holds a bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering from the Samarkand branch of Tashkent University of Information Technologies named after Muhammad al-Khwarizmi, and a master’s degree in Artificial Intelligence from the Kimyo International University in Tashkent. Published articles on artificial intelligence and computer vision in several journals indexed by the Higher Attestation Commission of Uzbekistan. Participated with theses in national and international scientific-practical conferences. Holds certificates in their field for software suites.

I hold the degree of Candidate of Physical and Mathematical Sciences (PhD). I received my Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and Information Technology from the National University of Uzbekistan named after Mirzo Ulugbek, and my Master’s degree in Computer Science and Software Engineering from the same university. I am the author and co-author of more than 10 publications indexed in Web of Science and Scopus, including articles in journals published by Springer and MDPI, as well as significant conference papers and study guides. I have also participated in several international projects.

Research interests: Dynamic Systems and Applications, Information Security and Cryptography, Operating Systems, Devops Engineering Scientific branch: Information Security and Cryptography (05.01.05) Biographys Since 2024, he has been working at the Kimyo International University in Tashkent. In 2023, he defended his Doctor of Science (DSc) dissertation in technical sciences at Tashkent University of Information Technologies named after Muhammad al-Khwarizmi. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Applied Mathematics and Informatics from Lomonosov Moscow State University, as well as a master’s degree in Information Security from the National University of Uzbekistan named after M. Ulughbek. He is the author of several scientific articles and educational-methodological manuals.

He is the author and co-author of more than 30 scientific articles and scientific papers published in a number of prestigious journals and conference proceedings, as well as educational and teaching aids. Participant of 3 international and 4 national projects. Previously, he worked as a first-degree software engineer, teacher, senior lecturer at the National University of Uzbekistan.

Research interests: Linear and nonlinear, dynamic and static, Coupled and uncoupled, thermoelastic and thermoplastic, theory of deformation and theory of flow, finite element method, boundary element method, finite difference schemes. Scientific branch: Mechanical Engineering (05.08.06) Biography Since 2023, Started working at Kimyo international university in Tashkent. He holds a PhD in Physical and Mathematical Sciences and obtained a bachelor's degree in "Informatics and Information Technologies" from the National University of Uzbekistan named after Mirzo Ulughbek, as well as a master's degree in "Mathematical and Software for Computing Machines, Complexes, Systems, and Networks" from the same university. He is the author of several monographs and scientific articles and a member of the editorial boards of scientific journals in Uzbekistan and abroad. In 2024, he completed a qualification enhancement course at WSB Merito University in Poland and received a certificate. He has actively participated in several local and Erasmus projects.
