International Economics Department

The “International Economics” Department is the main educational and scientific structural unit of the Kimyo International University in Tashkent and is designed to contribute to the training of highly qualified specialists.

The mission of the department is to provide high-quality and continuous education based on innovative educational technologies, the integration of learning processes, education, scientific and social activities of specialists in the field of international economic relations. In accordance with the above, the taught disciplines of the department include both theoretical and practical aspects of studying the problems of international economics.

The main task of the department is the organization and implementation at a qualitative level of educational, educational, methodological and scientific work on the training of highly professional specialists with deep theoretical and applied knowledge and competencies in accordance with educational standards; scientific research on the profile of the department, training and retraining of scientific and pedagogical personnel, improving their qualifications.

The department teaches disciplines, including the preparation of bachelors in the areas of "International economic relation", "Business management", "International marketing", "Banking", "Accounting", "Finance" for all forms of education. The department directs its efforts to the continuous improvement of general educational and professional disciplines, taking into account the new challenges of the global and digital economy.

The Department of International Economics is an innovative and creative team of experienced and young teachers, researchers who have great scientific potential and are able to solve urgent problems in the preparation of competent specialists in the field of international economics.

Research interests: Fiscal policy, taxation, economic growth, shadow economy, macroeconomics. Scientific branch: “Finance, Money Circulation, and Credit” (08.00.07) Biography In 2019, he completed a master’s degree in International Development & Cooperation at Korea University in the Republic of Korea. Since 2020, he has been working at the Kimyo International University in Tashkent, initially as a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Finance, and since 2024 as the Head of the Department of International Economics. In 2024, after conducting scientific research on the topic “Enhancing the Role of Modern Fiscal Instruments in Curbing the Scale of the Shadow Economy”, he was awarded the degree of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Economics, specialization 08.00.07 – Finance, Money Circulation, and Credit.

Research Interests: Macroeconomics, social policy, economic theory, world economy, international economic relations, geoeconomics, finance, money circulation and credit, green economy, foreign investment, international trade. Academic Fields: Economic Theory (08.00.01); Macroeconomics (08.00.02); Finance, Money Circulation and Credit (08.00.07) Biography In 1975, he graduated from Tashkent State University (TSU) with a degree in Economic Theory. From 1975 to 1992, he worked at TSU as a lecturer, senior lecturer, associate professor, and Head of the Department of Economic Theory at the natural sciences faculties. From 1992 to 2004, he served as Dean of the Faculty of Economics of the University, concurrently holding the position of Head of the Department of International Economic Relations. From 2005 to 2006, he was First Deputy Director of the Center for Socio-Economic Research under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan. From 2006 to 2012, he served as Rector of the Banking and Finance Academy of the Republic of Uzbekistan. Since 2012 to the present, he has been Head of the Department of Macroeconomics at the National University of Uzbekistan. Since September 2, 2020, he has also been working part-time as Professor of the Department of International Economics.

Research interests: Economic growth, Fiscal policy, Monetary policy, Investments, International economic relations. Scientific branch: 08.00.01 - “Economic Theory” Biography Alisher Vosiqovich in 1991 defended a PhD dissertation on the topic of “The Role of Non-Material Funds in Solving Social Problems of Local Territories.” In 2001 defended a doctoral dissertation on the topic “A Multi-Sector Economy in the Context of Market Relations” and awarded degree of DSc in economics. From 2005 to 2012, he served as the Rector of the Tashkent Institute of Finance. From 2012 to 2014, Alisher Vosiqovich held the position of Rector of the Tashkent State University of Economics. By the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated April 14, 2014 was appointed as the Minister of Higher and Secondary Specialized Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan. In 2018, Alisher Vosiqovich founded Kimyo International University in Tashkent. Since its establishment, he has overseen the university’s development and strategic management, while also serving as a professor in the Department of International Economics, where he teaches and conducts research.

Scientific branch: “Economic theory” (08.00.07) Biography In 2002, she graduated from the Master's program at the Mirzo Ulugbek National University, receiving a specialty in "State and Municipal Administration". From September 2002 to August 2003 - teacher at the private educational center "Perfection of Knowledge". From September 2014 to 2018 - Senior Lecturer at the Economic Theory Department of the Tashkent branch of the Russian University of Economics named after G.V. Plekhanov. From 2018 to 2021 – Senior Lecturer at the Department of Economic Theory, Faculty of Economics, National University of the Republic of Uzbekistan named after Mirzo Ulugbek. From 2021 to the present, I have been working at the Department of International Economics at Tashkent Kimyo International University. From October 1, 2024 to the present, I am an acting associate professor of the Department of International Economics at Tashkent Kimyo International University.

Research interests: Macroeconomics, international money transfers, microeconomics, world economy, history of economic doctrines, Research direction: "Finance, money circulation and credit" (08.00.07) Biography In 1987, she graduated from the Belarusian State Institute of National Economy named after V.V. Kuibyshev, specializing in Finance and Credit in Minsk. From 2020 to the present, she has been working at the Tashkent International Kim University: first as a senior lecturer in the Tourism Department, and since 2022 - senior lecturer in the International Economics Department. Currently, I am conducting scientific research for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in the direction 08.00.07 - "Finance, Money Circulation and Credit" on the topic "The Place of International Money Transfers in the Development of the National Economy (on the Example of Uzbekistan)"

Research interests: Microeconomics and macroeconomics, international negotiation, green economy and ecology, international economics, marketing. Scientific branch: “Industrial Economics” (08.00.03) Biography Specialization - Engineer-Economist. From 2002 to 2005, he graduated from the Joint US–Uzbek Academy. During his studies, he completed coursework in macroeconomics, microeconomics, management, marketing, accounting, strategic management, organizational behavior, and other related disciplines. From 2005 to 2008, he participated in the international “TEMPUS+” project. Between 2013 and 2015, he took part in a project under the Erasmus+ program aimed at the development of higher education in Central Asian countries. Since 2023, he has been working as Acting Associate Professor at the Department of International Economics of Tashkent International University of Chemistry. Currently, he is conducting scientific research toward the degree of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in the specialty 08.00.03 - Industrial Economics, on the topic “Improving the Practice of Enhancing the Competitiveness of Textile Industry Enterprises in the Context of the Digital Economy.”

Research interests: World Economy, International Economic Relations, Green Economy Scientific branch: 08.00.01 - “Economic Theory” Biography From 1992 to 1997, he studied at the Faculty of Economics of Tashkent State University. From 1997 to 2015, he worked at the “International Economic Relations,” “World Economy and International Economic Relations,” and “Macroeconomics” departments of Uzbekistan State University as a lecturer and senior lecturer. Since 2025, he has been continuing his work as a senior lecturer at the Faculty of Economics of Uzbekistan State University.

Research interests: International trade, microeconomics, logistics, dry port. Scientific branch: “Economics of Services Sector” (08.00.05) Biography Born in 1989 in Surkhandarya region. In 2011, he graduated from the Uzbek State World Languages University with a bachelor’s degree in English Philology. In 2009–2010, he studied at Busan University of Foreign Languages (Republic of Korea) under an exchange program in Korean and English. From 2012 to 2014, he completed a master’s degree in International Trade at Korea Maritime and Ocean University, and from 2014 to 2018, earned a PhD in International Trade at the same university. His academic career includes positions as Senior Lecturer in Marketing at the Tashkent State University of Economics (2020–2021), Senior Lecturer in Management at Korea International University in Fergana (2021–2023), and Head of International Trade at Hwashin Korea Academy (2023). Since 2024, he has been working as Acting Docent at the Department of International Economics at Kimyo International University in Tashkent..

Research interests: Princples of economics, microeconomics, macroeconomics, world economy. Scientific branch: “Finance, Money Circulation, and Credit” (08.00.07) Biography In 2015, he graduated from Tomsk State University of the Russian Federation with a bachelor's degree in "Finance and Credit". In 2020, he graduated from the master's degree "State financial control and audit" of the Academy of Bank-Financial Management of the Republic of Uzbekistan. From 2023 to the present, he has been working as a senior lecturer of the "International Economy" department at the Tashkent International University of Chemistry. From 08.00.07, 2024, he is conducting scientific research on the topic of "Improving the quality of loans to individuals in commercial banks" in order to obtain the degree of Doctor of Philosophy in Economics with the specialty "Finance, money circulation and credit".

Scientific branch: “Digital economy and international digital integration” (08.00.16) Biography In 2020, she completed a master’s degree in Economics at Tashkent State University of Economics. She worked as a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Economic Management at Tashkent International University of Financial Management and Technologies in 2023-2024 and since 2026 she has been working as the associate Professor of International Economics at the Kimyo International University in Tashkent. In 2025, after conducting scientific research on the topic “Improving the use of digital technologies in the development of e-commerce”, she was awarded the degree of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Economics, specialization 08.00.16 – Digital economy and international digital integration.

Research interests: Green Economy, national economy, economic growth, labor market, project management Scientific branch: “Management” (08.00.13) Biography Dr. Zebo M. Isakova is a Doctor of Sciences (DSc) in Economics, specialization 08.00.13 – Management, awarded by the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan in 2025. She also holds a Master of Public Administration (MPA) and a PhD degree, with advanced academic training in public administration, management, and economics. She has extensive professional experience in higher education, public administration, and international development. Since 2023, she has been serving as an Adjunct Professor at Webster University in Tashkent, and previously worked as an Associate Professor at the Academy of Public Administration. Her academic and professional career includes senior leadership roles in research and international cooperation, as well as positions within national government agencies and international non-governmental organizations.Dr. Isakova has significant expertise in project management, economic and public sector reform, monitoring, evaluation, and learning (MEL), and has acted as a national consultant and project manager for leading international organizations, including UNDP, the World Bank, GGGI, AFD, and the European Training Foundation. Her research interests encompass international economics, public management, digital governance, sustainable development, climate-resilient economic policy, and human capital development. She is the author of numerous scientific publications in national and international peer-reviewed journals and conference proceedings.
