
A delegation from Kimyo International University in Tashkent (KIUT), led by the university’s founder Professor Alisher Vakhabov, visited Sookmyung Women’s University in the Republic of Korea
A delegation from Kimyo International University in Tashkent (KIUT), led by the university’s founder Professor Alisher Vakhabov, visited Sookmyung Women’s University in the Republic of Korea. The purpose of the visit was to strengthen academic cooperation between the two institutions and to negotiate the development of new joint programs.
Sookmyung Women’s University, located in Seoul, is one of South Korea’s most prestigious private universities. According to the QS World University Rankings 2025, it is ranked in the 1201–1400 range globally.
During the visit, the two sides held discussions on launching 2+2 and 3+1 joint degree programs, which would enable students to study at both institutions and gain valuable international experience. In addition, a 1+1 master’s program was discussed, allowing students to pursue graduate studies across both countries.
To promote long-term academic collaboration, the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between KIUT and Sookmyung Women’s University is planned for the second half of 2025.
