A new opportunity for students of Kimyo International University in Tashkent: you can now study in Australia under joint educational programs!


A memorandum of cooperation was signed between Edith Cowan University (ECU) and Kimyo International University in Tashkent (KIUT). The collaboration aims to create new opportunities in strategic partnership, research and education between the two universities. The delegation of Edith Cowan University (ECU) was led by Vice-Rector for International Cooperation Adam Bryers. The members of the delegation met with the founder of KIUT, Professor Alisher Vakhobov, acting rector Professor Karimjon Akhmedjanov, vice-rector for science and innovation, associate professor Djamshid Kaniev.

This partnership was initially established to help students gain academic and professional experience through joint programs in engineering, economics and education. The cooperation includes exchange of students and teachers, joint scientific projects and seminars between ECU and KIUT. In addition, the parties agreed to provide access to their research laboratories. The organization of joint programs gives KIUT students the opportunity to study and conduct research in Australia. This will help them participate in international scientific projects and develop their professional skills. ECU, through this cooperation, seeks to use the potential of scientific research in Uzbekistan and expand its academic connections. The memorandum also includes the organization of joint scientific conferences and round tables between the two universities. These events will serve as a platform for industry experts, researchers and students to exchange ideas and discuss new ideas.

This cooperation is mutually beneficial for both universities and helps improve the quality of research and development. Such academic ties between Australia and Uzbekistan serve as a tool to strengthen interaction between the two countries in all areas, as well as between scientific communities.
