As is known, currently the delegation headed by the founder of Kimyo International University Tashkent, prof. A. Vakhobov, is on an official visit to South Korea. On August 9 of this year, the delegation members met with Mr. Kim Jae-hyun, Vice President of Sungkyunkwan University. At the beginning of the negotiations, prof. A. Vakhobov spoke about the facilities of Kimyo International University Tashkent, the scientific potential, programs for improving the qualification of teaching staff, the strategy for preparing students for the labor market, and plans for cooperation with prestigious universities. During the conversation, Mr. Kim Jae-hyun expressed confidence in the launching a student exchange program with Kimyo International University in Tashkent (KIUT) within the framework of the project of cooperation with universities in Central Asia and the active participation of KIUT students in the Sungkyunkwan Hangul competition, which will be held in September. At the end of the meeting, the parties discussed future cooperation, exchange of professors and teachers, student exchange, joint research and development, preparation of educational programs, organization of summer and winter schools, holding international conferences, participation in international grants. The two universities also agreed to start implementing student exchange projects in the bachelor's programs "Fashion Design", "Beauty Aesthetics", "Art Engineering" according to the 2 + 2 formula and master's program on 1 + 1.

For information: Sungkyunkwan University is the oldest educational institution in South Korea, with a 626-year history. In particular, as of 2021, it ranks 88th in the QS World University Rankings. The university is a branch of the Samsung Foundation, which took first place in the business ranking of South Korea, and currently manages the Samsung Medical Center, which is affiliated with it.
