Digital Technologies in Historical Education: International Experience and Prospects
Kimyo International University Tashkent is organizing an international scientific and practical conference entitled "Digital Technologies in Historical Education: International Experience and Prospects." This conference will contribute to the goals and objectives outlined in the Decrees of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, including PD-5847 (October 8, 2019) on the Development Concept of the Higher Education System until 2030, PD-6079 (October 6, 2020) on the Strategy "Digital Uzbekistan - 2030," and PD-60 (January 28, 2022) on the New Uzbekistan Development Strategy for 2022-2026.
The conference will take place on October 13, 2023, at 10:00 am (Tashkent time), at Kimyo International University Tashkent (Tashkent, Usmon Nosyr street 156). The conference will also be held online using the ZOOM platform. Detailed information about the event is available on the website “kimyoconference.kiut.uz.”
The main goal of the conference is to explore digital technologies potential in the field of historical education and scientific processes at all levels of the educational system. Knowledge is also extracted from international experience analysis and from the points of view of historians, teachers, researchers, software developers and other stakeholders working in the field of digital technology and history education, with the aim of applying digital technologies (such as artificial intelligence, augmented and virtual reality, 3D reconstructions) in the history education field, creating experiences and ideas exchanging platform. The conference includes a plenary session, workshops and discussion panels where participants can present their research, projects and achievements. An important aspect of this conference is the opportunity for participants to establish new contacts and find partners for cooperation.
The event includes lectures, discussion panels and tutorial lectures (masterclasses) that will allow participants to discuss current topics and challenges related to the application of digital technologies in history education. We also invite participants to present their research at the poster session.
The following topics will be discussed at the conference:
Digital technologies application in historical education;
International and domestic experience of digital history;
Digital history connection with source studies;
Virtual reconstruction of historical monuments and objects;
Artificial intelligence prospects used in teaching history;
The role of digital technologies in the future of historical education.

The articles or abstracts (theses) text should be formatted with Times New Roman font size 14, line spacing should be 1.5. Page margins: top and bottom - 2 cm, left - 3 cm, right - 1.5 cm.
An article or abstract (thesis) can be submitted in Uzbek, Russian or English and must be attached in *.doc or *.docx format. The file name must contain the author's last name.
The format of the article (or abstract) should include the following sections:
Authors: last name, rank, degree, place of work.
Article title.
Annotation in Uzbek, Russian and English.
Key words in Uzbek, Russian and English.
Introduction.
Methods.
Discussion.
Conclusion
Bibliographic listing and references must be arranged in accordance with the requirements of the APA citation standard. Articles should be 6 to 8 pages long and abstracts (theses) should not exceed 3 pages.
Posters are required to use A1 format (594 mm x 841 mm). The poster should include a summary of the study and its conclusions. The title should be written in capital letters. It is recommended to use visual materials such as illustrations and graphics as well as short and clear text blocks in the poster. Additionally, you can add a QR code with a link to the article or page with detailed information about the conducted study.
Conference materials are published free of charge in electronic form and are indexed in the "Google Scholar" database.
