Kimyo International University in Tashkent and South Korea: Strong Partnership and New Opportunities
A significant event took place at Kimyo International University in Tashkent (KIUT) — His Excellency Mr. Won Do Yon, the Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Uzbekistan, paid an official visit to the university. The esteemed guest was welcomed by the university's founder, Professor Alisher Vakhobov.
South Korea is one of KIUT’s strategic partners. Currently, around 30 Korean professors and lecturers are teaching at the university, contributing to the enhancement of its scientific and academic potential.
KIUT offers extensive opportunities not only for learning the Korean language but also for gaining deep insight into Korean culture. Moreover, student exchange programs between KIUT and Korean universities are being successfully implemented. Grant programs are also available for students who demonstrate outstanding academic performance and potential.
To further promote interest in Korean culture, a knowledge competition titled “Quiz on Korea” was held at KIUT as part of the “Korean Culture Day” event. This initiative aims to strengthen students’ understanding of Korean culture, language, and history while fostering intercultural exchange among students.
