On March 21, 2025, Kimyo International University in Tashkent hosted a solemn spiritual and educational event dedicated to the 84th anniversary of the birth of the People’s Poet of Uzbekistan and national hero, Abdulla Oripov. This event was not only a tribute to the memory of the great poet but also an important cultural occasion aimed at fostering a love for literature and patriotism in young people.

During the event, students learned fascinating facts about the poet’s life and professioanal journey. They also delivered moving recitations of excerpts from Abdulla Oripov’s philosophical and patriotic poetry.

One of the most memorable parts of the event was the performance of two theatrical scenes by members of the university’s student theater studio. The first was a dramatic depiction of the creation of Uzbekistan’s national anthem, reflecting the poet’s deep sense of responsibility and emotional struggles in fulfilling this historical duty. The second scene was based on the story “The Celestial Guest, Five Wise Men, and the Old Janitor”, skillfully performed by the students.

Honored guests of the event included Rukhsora Oripova, a literary heritage specialist of the Writers' Union of Uzbekistan, and Rohilabonu Guchchiyeva, the managing editor of “Yoshlik” magazine. They engaged in a heartfelt conversation with students, sharing little-known facts about the poet’s life, family memories, and his literary legacy.

Events like these play a crucial role in the spiritual and intellectual growth of students, strengthening their love for literature and respect for historical figures. Honoring the name of Abdulla Oripov and passing on his noble legacy to future generations is a meaningful continuation of service to the people.
