Kimyo International University in Tashkent hosted the award ceremony summarizing the results of the short video contest organized within the framework of the project “EQUALITY: Strengthening Civil Society in Promoting and Expanding Women’s Rights and Opportunities in Uzbekistan.” The event marked an important conclusion to the ongoing efforts aimed at raising students’ awareness about the importance of a safe online environment.
Participants presented videos addressing issues such as cyberbullying, online harassment and digital communication culture. The works stood out for their thoughtfulness, sincerity and the authors’ commitment to revealing the problem not only from a personal perspective, but also through a socially meaningful message. The screening of the videos once again demonstrated that young people possess a clear civic position and are ready to discuss complex topics openly and responsibly. During the ceremony, the winners whose videos received the highest recognition from the jury were announced.
We extend our gratitude to all students who took part in the contest, as well as to our partners — the NGO “White Sail,” the Agency for Technical Cooperation and Development ACTED, and all guests who supported the initiative.
This event reaffirms the importance of engaging students in discussing digital safety issues and contributes to fostering a culture of respectful behavior in the online environment.
