On August 11, 2024, a delegation led by the founder of Kimyo International University in Tashkent, Prof. A. Vakhobov, made an official visit to Kookmin University, the first private and one of the most prestigious universities in South Korea. Kookmin University ranks fourth in the QS World University Ranking in South Korea. The university trains qualified personnel in the field of business management, as well as in the social and humanitarian fields.
The guests were welcomed by the President of Kookmin University, Mr. Jeong Seung-Ryeol, and representatives of the university administration. The parties held talks on cooperation issues. During the meeting, an agreement on cooperation between the two higher education institutions on the implementation of a joint degree program was signed. In addition, issues such as the prospects for implementing a dual degree program, bilateral student exchange, research projects and the organization of advanced training programs were discussed. The parties agreed to implement these programs soon.
The President of Kookmin University highly appreciated the efforts of the founder of Kimyo International University in Tashkent in the field of higher education. As Mr. Jeong Seung-Ryeol noted, this cooperation will not only contribute to the development of the educational process between the two universities, but will also be important for strengthening cultural ties between South Korea and Uzbekistan.
Thus, further activation of student and research exchange programs between universities and strengthening of interaction in the field of scientific research is expected. This will raise the quality of the educational process to a higher level for both universities.
