On September 19 this year, the opening ceremony of the Global Exchange Support Center (GESC) was held at Kimyo International University in Tashkent. The event was addressed by the founder of KIUT, Prof. Alisher Vakhobov. The event was attended by the former director of the Korean Educational Center in Tashkent Pyang Joo Man, the new director of the center Lee Young Won and the head of the Korean Association of Uzbekistan Kang Chang Seok.

One of the main goals of the newly established Global Exchange Support Center is to expand and support the opportunities for university students to study the Korean language. GESC will expand the opportunities for KIUT students to study in Korea and participate in exchange programs in the near future.

In an important part of the event, Pyang Joo Man, the former director of the Korean Educational Center in Tashkent, was awarded the title of Honorary Doctor. Mister Pyang Joo Man has made a great contribution to the development of the Korean language at Kimyo International University in Tashkent, expanding opportunities for learning the Korean language, increasing the number of students studying in Korea. He was awarded for his great attention to strengthening cooperation in the field of education between Korea and Uzbekistan.

The opening of GESC is considered as one of the important steps aimed at raising the quality of education and international cooperation at KIUT to a higher level. The activities of this center serve not only to improve the international knowledge and skills of students, but also to strengthen cultural and educational ties between the two countries.
