Construction and installation of engineering communications
The Engineering Communications Construction and Installation bachelor’s program at Kimyo International University in Tashkent is designed to prepare highly qualified engineers for the modern construction and infrastructure industry. The first student intake for the program took place in 2024. The program is offered in full-time and evening formats in Uzbek and Russian languages. The duration of study is 4 years (Bachelor’s degree).
The primary goal of the program is to prepare specialists capable of professionally designing, constructing, installing, operating, and maintaining internal and external engineering communication systems for buildings and structures.
During the educational process, students gain in-depth theoretical knowledge and practical skills in:
- water supply and sewage systems;
- heat supply systems;
- ventilation and air-conditioning systems;
- gas supply systems;
- electrical and energy supply systems.
Students also study modern technologies for creating comfortable, safe, and energy-efficient environments based on environmental sustainability principles and modern infrastructure management approaches.
The program combines theoretical education with practice-oriented training, preparing students to work on real engineering and construction projects.
Goals and Objectives of the Program
The program aims to prepare highly qualified specialists in the design, installation, and operation of modern engineering communication systems.
During the program, students:
- study theoretical and practical foundations of engineering communication system design;
- develop installation skills for internal and external engineering systems;
- learn system testing, commissioning, and technical supervision methods;
- gain experience in reconstruction and modernization of existing systems;
- develop project management and engineering problem-solving competencies;
- study principles of environmentally sustainable and energy-efficient communication systems.
Students also develop professional competencies in technical-economic analysis, energy-saving technologies, and the implementation of innovative engineering solutions.
Curriculum Overview
This educational program is designed to provide comprehensive knowledge in the design, construction, and efficient operation of modern engineering communication systems.
The educational process lasts 4 years and is organized based on 240 ECTS credits. The curriculum includes theoretical subjects, laboratory classes, practical projects, and industrial internships.
The curriculum consists of the following main blocks:
- general education subjects — mathematics, physics, computer science, philosophy, and foreign languages;
- engineering fundamentals — construction materials, geodesy, theoretical mechanics, and soil mechanics;
- specialized subjects — heat supply, ventilation and air-conditioning systems, water supply and sewage systems, gas supply, and energy systems;
- practical classes and industrial internships;
- elective subjects and modern engineering technologies.
During their studies, students gain knowledge in AutoCAD and other CAD technologies, energy efficiency, modern construction technologies, and engineering systems integration.
At the final stage of study, students complete a graduation qualification project or thesis and pass the final state attestation.
