Modern dentistry is developing rapidly due to the continuous introduction of advanced technologies and innovative biomaterials. These developments are transforming surgical dentistry and significantly improving the quality of early diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of dental diseases.

At the same time, the professional competence of a dentist is based not only on excellent clinical skills and accurate diagnosis. Empathy also plays an essential role: the ability to establish effective communication with patients, provide psychological support, and motivate them to take responsibility for their oral and overall health. Therefore, in surgical dentistry, a physician’s ethical qualities are valued as highly as professional knowledge and clinical expertise.

Main Goal of the Department

The main goal of the Department is to provide students enrolled in the “Dentistry” educational program with fundamental and applied knowledge of surgical dentistry using up-to-date teaching and clinical methods. We aim to educate highly qualified dental professionals who are capable of making sound clinical decisions independently and providing medical care of the highest standard.

Main Objectives of the Department

• To organize lectures, seminars, and laboratory practical sessions in accordance with advanced standards of academic quality.
• To supervise students’ clinical practice and research projects and to ensure objective assessment of their academic performance based on a rating system.
• To develop and integrate up-to-date syllabi, textbooks, and methodological guidelines into the educational process.
• To develop students’ practical skills through the use of modern diagnostic and therapeutic methods at clinical training facilities.
• To support talented students, involve them in research activities, and prepare them for specialized academic competitions and Olympiads.
• To promote the continuous professional development of the teaching staff through the publication of scientific research and participation in national and international forums and conferences.
• To strengthen partnerships with leading medical centers in the country and international clinics in order to expand opportunities for students’ clinical training and practical experience.
