Today, the Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Uzbekistan Kim Hee Sang visited the Kimyo International University in Tashkent. The honored guest was welcomed by the Rector of the University J. Kudaybergenov. At the meeting, the ambassador informed about the current state of cooperation with South Korean universities and research centers, as well as about the activities of the “Uzbekistan-Korea” Friendship Society. The parties also noted that Uzbekistan and Korea are ready for joint educational and research work and new stages of cooperation for the further development of friendly relations. Interest was expressed in the implementation of joint projects in the field of education. After the talks, the Ambassador made a presentation on topic “THE STATUS AND FUTURE PERSPECTIVES OF RELATIONS BETWEEN SOUTH KOREA AND UZBEKISTAN” for university students. After the presentation, students received answers to their questions about education, grants and joint programs in Korea. The fact that most students of the university are fluent in Korean, as well as their great interest in Korean culture, made a warm impression on the guests. After the presentation, the ambassador got acquainted with the conditions created for students at the university. The guests showed great interest in laboratories organized for students of engineering specialties and research on obtaining alternative energy sources. The meeting was held in a sincere, open and friendly atmosphere.

For information, in November of this year, a delegation led by the founder of the Kimyo International University in Tashkent A. Vakhobov and rector J. Kudaybergenov visited South Korea, where they established cooperation with a number of prestigious South Korean universities in the field of education.
