“Art Engineering 2026”: Exploring Solutions to Environmental Challenges through Art and Engineering
The grand opening of the “Art Engineering 2026” exhibition will take place on April 20, 2026, at 10:00 at Kimyo International University in Tashkent. The exhibition will run until April 25.
This project is unique among universities in Uzbekistan, bringing together innovative works created at the intersection of engineering and art. This year’s exhibition focuses on global environmental challenges, presenting today’s pressing issues through artistic and technological approaches.
The showcased projects reflect the complex relationship between humans and nature. A ship stranded in the desert symbolizes ecological crisis and resource depletion, while the “energy tree” promotes the idea of a sustainable future based on renewable energy.
Art objects such as a dragonfly, turtle, and embryo made from recycled materials highlight the impact of human activity on nature. Concepts like the “eco-city” and “infinite city” address urbanization challenges, while a forest depicted in two contrasting states illustrates how human choices shape the fate of nature.
Interactive and innovative projects also play a key role, including a zoetrope mechanical animation device, interactive projection technologies, and the “gardonics” agricultural system, offering visitors both visual and practical experiences.
“Art Engineering 2026” is not just an exhibition, but a platform for reflection—encouraging awareness of environmental responsibility, sustainable resource use, and responsibility toward future generations.
