Currently, Farrukh Suleymanov, Head of Human Resources Department, and Abduvahob Vosikov, Deputy Head of Business Management faculty of the Yeoju Technical Institute in Tashkent, are on a working visit abroad. Our representatives are geting acquainted with the conditions created at the Riga Technical University, its education system, negotiating on the organization of a student exchange program and opportunities for the professional development of professors and teachers. During the visit, they will also take part in the meeting of the European Union on international educational programs.
For reference: Riga Technical University is located in the capital of Latvia, and currently it has more than 17,000 students. Students come to study mainly from the CIS, the USA, Germany, Spain and other EU countries.

The university was founded a long time ago, more precisely, on October 14, 1862. It was on this day that the first students began their studies. The university was the first multidisciplinary university in Latvia, and then in the Russian Empire. The university is based on the systems of German and Swiss universities. The professors were also teachers from Germany, Austria and Switzerland. At the time, the winner of the International Nobel Prize, the physicist-chemist W. Ostwald, the famous economist E. Laspeyres and the founder of the theory of mechanics E. Arnold taught at RTU.
