On February 5 this year, 50 students and teachers of the prestigious Pukyong National University of Korea (PKNU) visited Kimyo International University in Tashkent (KIUT). During the visit, an exchange of ideas with students of the Korean language department took place, and debates on various topics were organized.
The main goal of the visit was to develop educational and cultural exchange between students of the two universities, increase interest in the Korean language, and exchange practical experience. PKNU students presented a K-POP dance and a taekwondo sports performance to demonstrate Korean culture. These performances gave unforgettable emotions to the participants of the event.
In addition, the students took part in a master class on cooking gimbap, one of the famous national dishes of South Korea. KIUT students cooked this delicious dish together with their Korean friends and had the opportunity to get to know each other better as part of a cultural exchange. Such meetings are important for increasing our students’ interest in learning foreign languages, developing intercultural communication skills and strengthening cooperation relations with foreign universities.
